I dunno - but I see some decent looking 357 mag loads on Hodgdon's online data center using IMR 4227. I wouldn't assume IMR 4227 is the same as H 4227, but a phone call to Hodgdon can likely clear that up quickly. Guy

Under an inch with five shots from the 300 PRC is just fine. You've got it well dialed for accuracy. I've only used the lighter 178 gr ELD-X on one cow elk, a couple of years ago with Dale (filmjunkie here on the forum). Accuracy was excellent. Cow elk was at 405 yards in a stiff crosswind...
