I have found I shoot well made 1911’s better than most other pistols. My best one is my Cabot S103. It’s a 4.5 barrel but has the slide action of a full 5”. This really helps with rest after a shot. Most people that I let shoot this one, shoot it well!
I love your Springfield, Guy. That’s...
Well, UPS strikes again. I’ve cancelled my last two meetings of the day and I’m going to try a quick ladder. I’m taking Maddog fly fishing tonight, and I’m too excited to wait until tomorrow haha. So here we go!
.... I hate to say this, because I am all for the principle of what you are saying here, but most things I buy when I actually go to the grocery store, or am picking up beer... I grab the far back one. I don't trust the world, people get into some nasty stuff and don't wash their hands, people...
Mine arrive either tomorrow or Monday. With our UPS truck it's always a guess.. the tracking detail is never right, it's either early or late.. not on time though
I believe he settled in on the 350 legend already. I'll see him this weekend and see what his status is. You all had some great suggestions. I feel if he goes 350 legend, there will be no need for reduced loads. His daughter should have no problem handling that rifle, comfortably.
If I’m understanding their website correctly, the Hammer Hunter and Hammer Hunter Tipped seem to be fine, it’s only their Absolute Hammers that I have seen their disclaimer on coming into pressure fast and have read from others on how finicky the load can be to make happy. I have some different...
I only know about that ranch because of a project we did a couple years back. Have never hunted there or anything like that. I grew up on the other side of DFW from that ranch, but use to go right by it many times on our way to Midland.
My company did an expansion project on a compressor...
What part of TX were you in? I was just down there for a couple weeks. Went down to San Saba 4/17 - 4/20 to hunt. We did a combo Turkey and Hog hunt. It was a good time. I love the Texas Hill Country. I wish the family ranch was down there instead haha
So in your opinion, should I just go with the absolute hammers and trust I won't get the finky they mention or should I maybe try those and the regular hammer hunter? In 6.5 they called out R23 as a good powder, which just so happens I have roughly 3 pounds of it left and I don't use it on any...
In my opinion, it's one of the best. I have switched most of my personal round over to Peterson. I have used all of them and I put it up there with Lapua, ADG, Alpha..
Has anyone had any experience loading these up? I want to give them a try in my short barrel PRC. They claim above average speed, great accuracy, and they claim make a great wound channel on game. Hammer's load data shows nothing for their absolute hammer bullets and they claim they are...
Just for fun.. my wife and I had a shoot off with this one. To make it more even I had to shoot 6 shots to her three lol. We went by smallest group using the Hornady app. It was very close, but I won haha. That load and rifle is dialed in well! No bolt issues in 40 rounds total.
Just to update you all. I sent the rifle back to Christensen. I'll say that getting a response from them is painstaking and very slow. However, they did not push back at all. They covered all cost, sent me an RMA, I was able to drop it off at Fed Ex and they shipped it back to my door. From...
I have always thought about them, but never owned or shot one. What's the mannerism on recoil and muzzle lift like with these in a standard sized rifle? Not super heavy and not a lightweight set up.
The C2 you can pause a session, then come back to it. So if you are testing 3 rifles at once, you can pause a session grab another rifle or two, shoot those then come back to your session with rifle one and pick up where you left off. This was the biggest selling point for me. no one...
