    What do you see?

Salmon, I do believe yotes will cross with dogs but I do not believe it's as prevalent as some think. As far as the shooting and trapping of yotes. Outside of widespread poisoning, which is illegal there is no way to eliminate coyotes. They are here to stay. In my neck of the woods coyotes are...

    Oversized Bullets

Several years ago, 10-15 or better, I bought a box of Hornady 284 cal. I opened the box a few days later and something just didn't look right. I found several .264 caliber bullets. I called Big Red and told them my issue. They recalled a couple lots of bullets. They sent me two boxes of what I...

    What do you see?

We have very few yotes that would go in the 50 lbs, heck, a 35-40 lb'er is a monster here. I killed a big male 3-4 yrs ago while hunting that might have gone 35-40 lbs and I thought he was big. I thought somebody's German Shepherd had gotten loose. I shot this ol boy about 12pm. I do not "live...

    Hunter powder in 243 win

Im with Jim!! It's been a long time since I loaded the 243 and when I did it was with IMR-7828, 100 gr Nosler Partition. Wonderfully accurate and devastating on white-tails.

    Which One?

I raised our 4 children and 2 grandsons after their father was tragically killed with my 280. We always had venison and wild "hawg" sausage on the table. The only way I'll ever be without my 280 is through death.

    Which One?

I've had mine for 30 yrs and have killed upwards of 150 deer with it. It is a great cartridge for sure

    Which One?

I spent a little time at the range today. My intent was to sight the 280 back in due to changing to the Talley scope mounts. That went well. one shot and on paper and it was right back to "boringly" shooting those 154 gr SST's into 3/4 of an inch. My other intent was to decide which load I was...

    243 Winchester again

I've always tried to adhere to that but the old idiomatic saying, "The best laid plans of men and mice often go awry" sometimes get in the way.

    Where is the Kano Kroil?

None of that "old school stuff" is the same anymore.

    243 Winchester again

Great memories!! Love those full stock rifles. Every now and again we all do things that we regret, however, Im glad you had the opportunity to rectify that mistake. I got rid of a Browning many years ago that I regret more than anything but like smoke through a keyhole, it's gone forever with...

Quick load request 7mm-08 155gr Terminal Ascent, Ramshot Hunter and Superformance

I space my Chrono 10-15 ft from muzzle, muzzle blast can and will give some funky readings. 2...Magnum primers could help a little bit but is probably not the panacea of the issue.... 3...Possible Chrono issue valid. Probably not though. Number 4 is the winner IMO, keep adding powder while...

    Talley Lightweight Scope mounts.

Well, I got them put on my rifle. I like the looks of them as well. Lord willing I'll be headed to the range come Saturday. Best part, they are manufactured right here in a town in my home state, Santee, SC

    Use Enough Gun

Im not sure what you deem "big bullet" because that term is certainly debatable but If "you" are capable of utilizing big bullets then yes, I would say go for it. However, everyone is not able to withstand what bigger calibers and bullets bring to the table.
