well i decided on the 22creed as i just ordered an 18" 8t +2 gas along with a 25creed 26" 7t +3 gas (and all supporting components for handloads). probably be here in july
well, guy are you wiling to give this 1 a try
7.5" 45-70.............maybe you already have 1 or more..............good job on 3rd.........can you or do you have a chance to get higher
i bought a blonde, brunette and redhead a month ago
and then this big boy 7.5" to go with the 1895 cb and sbl in 45-70 that should be here on wednesday
as for other 2026 buys i ordered a custom 308win AR 20" barrel 11t from x-cal w/+2 gas and thermal fluting on both sides of the gas journal...
i seen many complain about the ablr's, but no issues with the ab's across many forums. many are just about not expanding? i have several ablr's in 26, 27,28, 30 and 33cals, but haven't tested any yet. i don't hunt, only bought them for load and target testing due to advertised bc's...
i don't have enough experience with that statement, but i'll try that 1 out with firearms in the same cartridge using the same ammo that have different twist. i have wondered about the affects of twist other than what's required to stabilize bullets. now my dilemma............most have only...
here's an average per twist for 320k rpm
7 @ 3,110
7.5 @ 3,330
8 @ 3,550
8.5 @ 3,770
9 @ 4k
bullet construction is the only thing that'll determine whether it'll stay together or not @ +/- 200fps. i believe thin skinned/plated bullets will have more of the issue from the rifling than rpm's.
i've thought about the 358 before, but haven't given any thought about a 375 possibility? sounded like you have a very good day! so far i only have levers in 44mag and 45-70gvt. before i bought (actually won 1 in a raffle) a 45-70 i asked around about the fun it would be on my shoulder and...
with today being the last day of no hazmat charge at powder valley i ordered 15k worth on top of my last weeks haul from them (10k cci250's, 10k #34's, 5k cci br2 & 5k cci200's)
5k 215m gold medal's
10k br2
at ar15 discounts they had br2's @ $199/5k, but charger $35 per 5k (or if ordering...
probably not recalling them as hoping most will be past warrantee whether extended or not. just be glad you didn't buy 1 that had "the wobble of death" issue
https://wheelsgreed.com/understanding-the-ford-death-wobble-and-how-to-fix-it/
i'm guessing it's a post64? i have both and do shoot sierra 140sbt's (#1730) since '84 and been using the same brass (winchester super-x) since the late 70's to early 80's. neither firearm has had any misfires fl sizing using redding dies. and all above are correct about belted brass...
3n37 was the 1st vv powder i've used, but in the last 6-7 years i've bought 550 (1st of the rifle powders) along with 555, 560, 565, 568, 570, 160 & 165. i have some 550 loaded in some 308's, but haven't tested yet. i plan on getting some 150 for the 7-08. when i make my trip to south...
are you trying to polish back to near factory shape (look wise, not dimensions) for easier extractions/ejections? flex honing probably wouldn't be good unless it's a high grit like 2000 for knives. ball (dingleberry) would create too much pressure i'd think, but rigid (stone type like for...
i ordered 30k of primers
10k 250's
10k #34's
5k br-2's
5k 200's
that makes my inventory of large rifle (non-magnum's) to 54k and magnums to 39k. i might be good for a year or 2. that makes it average 6.59 cents per with tax and shipping. not bad.
i'm glad i stocked up on blue dot when i had the chance. for what i have left i should be able to get 7k-8k rounds out of it. i don't recall the charge of the 357sig loads i've done to know exactly how many i can do? i do reload for sg or have the equipment to do so.
