Dang, I just tried HD in a friend’s 6.5 PRC with 156 EOL. Only 3 shots over the chrono but I got 2809 average from the 20” barrel (cut for a can), SD 7, ES 14. Four shot group at the range was 0.32”. Worked pretty well.

Be advised, all the 75 gr ELDMs exited the Mule deer bucks. First deer, 475 yards. Next buck wasn’t much over 125 yards. The third buck was 277 yards IIRC. The first two were DRT and I mean right now, the third went about 8 feet. I’m looking forward to number 4 this October.

I did, once, with TAC and 75 gr ELDM in a .223. Thought I was safe. Nope. Never again. No injury but I got to buy a new bolt assembly.

Half a grain under Nosler’s max for Big Game gives me 3126 fps with 120 BT. Tikka T3. It’s stout.

My brother wants to try the 175 ELDX in his Tikka 7mm Rem Mag. I currently load the 162 ELDX using Reloder 26 but he’s thinking about something new so I told him I’d do some research. Anyone have a good recipe, preferably with R26?

I use a magnum primer with ball powders regardless of cartridge (excluding .223 Rem). A 150 ELDX at 2790 is no joke. BC of .574 carries 1800 fps waaaaaay out there. P
