Which truck / Chevrolet or Ford

I have a 2020 Chevy (gas motor)z71 Trail Boss and my buddy from work has the same truck in a diesel. We argue about mileage and fuel cost all the time. Both are 1500 models and are quiet/smooth and comfortable. This is my favorite truck I have ever owned. Some of that is the improvement in...

    2025 Hunting Season

28 nosler and 175 ablr High country mule deer. Shot him just before dark Monday and spent Tuesday with my brother and nephew packing him out. A really great experience!

Always in the spring but a warm, wet fall will bring them out again

    Pacific Storm

Your weather pattern became Utahs weather pattern. I love the weather change for rifle hunting deer and elk and grouse and ducks and chukars and . . .

    28 Nosler, 150 Grain TTSX

Can’t hurt to try a different powder. I have really liked us869 in mine but I also prefer 175 gr bullets. That would be my other suggestion is to try a heavier/longer bullet and see how your rifle responds.

    7mm PRC

Would love to see what it can do with a 175 ablr. . .

    N+1 What Caliber Next?

You are lacking in the .284 family. I’m a huge 7mm-08 fan but if you are looking at the magnums, I suggest a 28 nosler or 7 prc. I agree on a .375 but if you don’t have Africa in your sights. I can’t justify that one My old rem 700 bdl in .300 wm is one of my favorites-has served well from...

30-06 QL Help Please and any help from the stands would be great too.

Since you mentioned Bell and his African wandering-I have taken kudu (for example) with both .30-06 and 7mm-08 (7x57 equivalent.) Bullet placement and understanding anatomy are much more important than calibers and bullets. My pet load uses IMR 4350 but it looks like you don’t have it or can’t...

Organized effort to limit kills and drive-up license costs

Happens in every state-I’ve seen it for sandhill cranes and swans and cougars. The wildlife divisions have their hands full-managing humans, not so much animals

    180gr Swift A Frame in 300 WM

I just now saw this post. I’m happy to see your load is within 1/2 grain of mine-so I must be doing something right with the AFrame. Since it was mentioned, Imr4350 is my go to for the 180 AB which my .300 wm loves. Hope you can add some pictures this fall hunting season-maybe not moose sounds...

    2025 antelope

I was hesitant to apply for this tag this year because I already had Africa to look forward to. Thought about saving my antelope points for next year so I had something to look forward to then as well. I’m hoping instead that next year one of my daughters will draw, I know where to go and...

    2025 antelope

Had three days scheduled for a Wyoming antelope hunt. Then a funeral scratched a day and then there were two. Kids stuff intervened and then it was one. . . Two of us killed bucks with no trouble. My buddy killed a taller one than mine but still pretty shape. I passed a dozen that looked...

200 Grain Accubonds in the 30-06

I’ve had excellent success with superformance powder and the 165 ab (my brothers Rem700 .30-06 rifle)

200 Grain Accubonds in the 30-06

I assume your rifle will shoot them accurately and curious at what velocity you might be accurate with them. From what length barrel- My problem is that the velocity doesn’t take advantage of the bc of the Accubond and closer in, there are better options. So it is imo not the best for closer...

Charlie Kirk Shot in Utah Campus

Suspect taken into custody last night. Someone close to him turned him in. I was disappointed that trump made the announcement-should have been the people that actually did the legwork.

    Duikers and orphan meat

The impala would have looked cool in a group mount with my previous rams-I should’ve planned for that Game4Africa helps support a local Orphanage. But you can’t just drop your dead animal at the front gate and consider it a good donation. You CAN take it to the butchery. Have it cut, wrapped...

    Duikers and orphan meat

After one of my favorite lunches-wildebeest lasagna, we went out for one more walk. I don’t know if it’s actually wildebeest. And I think the secret ingredient is brown sugar. But I really love that stuff. The meat is very similar to beef, maybe more flavor. I don’t remember ever eating...
