Got to the range today to see how Hunter does in this 243. Picture is the best group. Second best was .8 will try the Nosler 100gr PT with Hunter see how it does next time. I could hunt this load as is.

I looked at Kimber's website to see if they have started making this Gen 2 in a commander size but didn't see it listed. Hope they will.

As for adding weight and effecting balance, I once added some weight to the butt of a Savage heavy barrel 22lr to see how it would react to bench shooting. Even at that it didn't feel right, butt heavy as suspected. For hunting rifle, I wouldn't recommend it.

Forgot to mention that a bolt action is first preference. Tikka seems to get a lot of attention and has a good reputation. Interesting story of suppressor use Don. I have a nephew on a swat team. I'll have to ask him if he's ever done that.

Getting back to this. The Ronin came with a green dot sight already attached. Have shot this pistol few times now, recently as yesterday. It is pure fun to shoot. Been toying with the idea of getting a bolt action rifle in 22lr to use with a suppressor. Curious to what others say is their recommendation. Would use it in the squirrel woods or urban pest control.

I've had my current 30-06 since 1986. In the past used IMR4350 and Win 760. Recent years it has been H4350 and Big Game.

I used some Nosler 150gr Bts on WV deer with good results in a 7mm Rem Mag. Not excessive amount of bloodshot meat, always complete pass through. They would serve you well.

It's true that 35 Rem factory loads took a hit as not being readily available but it has always been a seasonal thing just like certain caliber bullets. This past year I have seen on the shelves and online more shells available than before. The Hornady 200gr FTX turned the 35 Rem into a 200yd...

30-30 is good but the 35 Rem is better in my humble opinion:D That 360 Buck Hamer is like a 35 Rem with just a few feet difference in velocity. There are several Marlin Mod 336s out there for sale in the 35 Rem and they are a good rifle plus accurate also. Henry might be chambering it now...
