I found that the Nosler brass gave the slowest FPS. Hornady brass gave the most FPS. and weatherby, win, rem brass was in the middle. The point of impact was 1 inch plus at 100 yards. This was in several different cartridges also. Now I sort my brass as to manufacture and number of times fired.

There is nothing special about the 270. Jack O'Connor used it and promoted it heavily and people bought into it. The truth he used a 30-06 for game bigger than deer/sheep. The bit about less recoil is garbage also. The 25-06 has less recoil also. The 257W has one pound less recoil than the 270...

I do not use target bullets for hunting. I use real hunting bullets. Prefer Nosler PAR or one of the Swift Bullets for big game. If shooting ground squirrels I prefer the Hornady SX bullets or I would use a target bullet since it is not really hunting and just shooting were I do not care to take...

I have tried h-1000 and Retumbo in a number of cartridges I load. Other powders did better over the Chrono and gave excellent accuracy.

I prefer the TTSX bullet over the TSX or E-tip myself.

I do not want any wet powder :)

RL17 has been really good in my 300win mag using 150gr PAR bullets
