Is there a reason primers aren't shrink wrapped?

no need to. I have ones stored in my house and in the garage that were bought in the 1960's and they still work fine

    tac-x

use same data. Basicly the same bullet in a different box for marketing purposes. This is what the guys at the Barnes booth at the SCI convention told me a number of years back

    Barnes Bullet Question(s)

they are the old design and best used for plinking. The TTSX or LRX bullets they make now are much better and far less finicky to load

    RL19 Substitute

I have used IMR4350 so I would say the H4350 would be a good choice. RL17 also works as well as RL19 if you have them. I have loaded the 210gr Nosler PAR and also the 225gr Swift A-Frame with these powders.

95 gr Ballistic tip or 100 gr Partition for deer out of the 243?

the 100gr PAR is a better choice

    Most fragile .224 bullet?

The 55gr(what I have used for years) Hornady SPSX bullet is the most explosive I have used. More than the V-Max or Varmint Grenades. I cannot use the SX bullets in Calif anymore and use the VG bullets(36 and 50gr) but the VG do not explode the ground squirrels like the SX bullets do. I use them...

    Cheap Scopes.

I will stick to Leupold for all my hunting rifles and pistols. They make scopes that are not real expensive and always work. For fun guns I have Burris, Weaver, Bushnell and even Simmons. Leupold also make more expensive scope but I tend to use the old Varri-X II, Vx3i and have a VXI. On my...

Recommend a .257 Cal. bullet for a 1:14 twist (Slow Twist)

100gr Nosler PAR or 100gr Swift A-Frame or Sirocco bullets. If using the Swift bullets seat them deep for best accuracy. Another to try would be 80gr TTSX Barnes and seat them deep

    bullet testing question

When you test bullets shot into one gallon water jugs: Do you take the cap off or leave them capped tight? Do you tape them together or just stack them one behind the other? Do you place the jugs at 100 yards? How many should I use for the load listed below roughly? Thanks for any help. This...
