    Chrony repair

If you are reloading without using a chrono as part of your load development process, you're just doing guesswork.

    MATCHMASTER POWDER DISPENSER

The question that comes to my mind is, can any of us bear the thought of something that makes @FOTIS' groups any smaller? 😉

    H4350 vs IMR 4350

I had some good success with 4166.

    H4350 vs IMR 4350

I wish the IMR Enduron powders would make a return.

    Got it dialed in

A quick update on this load and results from deer season. 129gr Hornady SST over Varget, at about 2800 fps. Rifle is a Franchi Momentum. I was able to take 2 deer with this load, both from the same spot and within an hour or two of each other. Due to the nature of the terrain on our place...

    MATCHMASTER POWDER DISPENSER

I've got to believe that unless you are really stretching out your shots and there is prize money involved, you're going to have a hard time noticing the difference between .04gr precision and .1gr precision. I'd love to see a blind test between the two, tho.

    Reloading the big Girl

That big girl eats a lot of powder.

    Straight Wall Wildcat

Keep in mind that at least some of those states limit the case length to 1.8 inches.

    Guy

He's recently posted on one of the FB groups I'm on. As was mentioned, he just went thru a big relocation to OK and may not be back into the reloading stuff yet. He seems to be doing fine, tho.

    Alcan large rifle primers?

Yeah, I'll probably pick a couple of my existing loads and swap out the primers and see how the loads perform with the Alcan primers compared to the originals.

    Alcan large rifle primers?

Anyone have any experience with these? They were included in a box of reloading supplies that belonged to my uncle. I'm sure they date back to the 70's, at least. Are they worth saving, or should I just toss them? Assuming they were stored correctly, were they a quality primer to begin with? How...

    More Cancer update

I was away from the forum at the beginning of the month and missed this news. I am so very sorry to hear this. Prayers for strength and healing for your family. Life can sure be painful and hard sometimes, don't ask me how I know that. Brian

    Flintlock Friday

Very nice!! What kind of accuracy do you get from it?

    Inherited Kentucky longrifle

Yes, I'm familiar with the loading process, of course. While I use 2f in my .50 Hawken rifles, I'll be using 3f in this one. I really have no info about this gun. Looking at some pictures, it does look like a Siler lock, but that's just a guess. My uncle did tell me several times who had built...

    Inherited Kentucky longrifle

My uncle passed away suddenly a few weeks ago. To my surprise, my cousin offered to let me have his flintlock rifle, which was one of his prized possessions. While I have plenty of experience with caplock rifles, this is my first experience with a flintlock. I've been watching videos and trying...

    PSA: Emergency descender device

Went out yesterday to prep one of our stands for the season. Perfect opportunity to test the Wingman. My harness is connected to the Wingman, and the Wingman is connected to the Prusik knot on the lifeline. As you can see, once I stepped off the ladder, just grabbing the webbing of the Wingman...

    Got it dialed in

He hasn't shown up on camera for a couple weeks. Either shifted his range, or he has other things on his mind. Of course, there's so many acorns on the ground, every spot is a dinner table.
