    Weird

Resizing some 257 Roberts and encountered a neck separation I don't recall ever seeing before. 3x loaded Nosler +p brass. Glad it's not stock in the rifle.

    22lr rifle for suppressor use

Well “swat” was a rapidly evolving art when I played the game, (90 to 2011). Still evolving. In some cities computers at public works can shut the lights down in an isolated part of the city. My old department is making great use of very small drones, they’ve actually had a drone inside while...

Jeepers that is fast, not much is going to stand up to that.

    Adding Weight

I say keep the brake. Adding two pounds is a lot and adding to the butt stock would really mess up the balance.

    22lr rifle for suppressor use

I had a 10/22 with a suppressor we seized from a serial felon, used it mainly for taking out street lights, front porch and yard lights when we wanted things nice and dark. Made less noise than a suppressed MP-5. The breaking glass and bullet impact made much more noise than the round going off...

    Winchester Model 70 Alaskan

Pinnell and Talifsonn guided on Kodiak island from the 1930s, they spent 60 years guiding bears. Amazing men. They started with less but quickly adopted the model 70 in 375 for the majority of their careers. There was not an official scoring system until the 1960s, they had record skulls laying...

Using a 30 caliber .308 diameter 150 grain spitizer Nosler Ballistic tip in a 30.06. What is the recommended grains of Hodgon Varget powder for resul

Any of the Alliant powders have proven difficult to find and expensive. I’ve been shooting the same load of IMR 4064 for at least 30 if not 40 years, in the same rifle. I have had the rifle since 1968. Still shoots very well. When I can’t find an Alliant powder I need I find the Vihtivori...

Using a 30 caliber .308 diameter 150 grain spitizer Nosler Ballistic tip in a 30.06. What is the recommended grains of Hodgon Varget powder for resul

Welcome aboard. Absolutely no way to know! I have found Abolts to be relatively accurate and the few I’ve loaded for shot well with hotter loads. I personally use IMR 4064, H4350 or RL 22 in the 06. Load some up and shoot, tell us what you learn. I’m a big fan of the 150 ballistic tip for deer.

    Nyala done right!

I too like hunting Impala. Shot two this year. One cull for camp meat one good one. Them and warthogs will probably always be in danger.

    Quick load request; 375 H&H

I've plenty of H4350 and just about done with 15. There is a can at my local gun store but I won't pay 85.00 us. I fired right at 1000 rounds with my 300 getting ready for my recent hunt, 5% of those off the bench. I'm not sure I'll pull the trigger that many times with the 375👍😁

Took some 300 gr partitions to the range loaded with 68 gr RL 15, Replaced the old 1.5 x4 vx11 with a not so old vx3 1.5x5 I had on a Ruger 10/22. Took a couple of shots to get it a little closer then got serious, Point of aim was the lower target in the picture. First two went high. Took a...

I was thinking 17 might be pretty good for the speed/pressure curve with the 338 WM. I was shooting my 275 rigby today getting ready for next year in Africa, maybe. 2950 with 140gr Accubonds pushed with 49.5gr. RL17.

    What do you see?

I’ve only seen coyotes out west, in my mind never a question due to coloration, conformation that it was a song dog. I’ve heard stories of of domestic dogs breeding with coyotes but don’t recall ever seeing such. I was curious of your thoughts as he was so dark. I’ve an uncle who ranched in...
