I honestly believe that the hoarding over the last few years has come to an end! Powders are more available, still more bullets than ever, primers….. I think people have stocked up for their entire life!!
No Really!
A PSE Compound bow! I had about $250 invested into the entire thing, case and all. Used it to take a lot more deer too. Not fancy, but it worked as long as I did my part of the job.
Those pictures are not showing the color and horizontal grain at all! I’ll have to pull it out in the Sun and take photos that due it the justice it deserves.
That simplicity for practical reasons is The reason to never underestimate the man with one gun! Or the Rancher and his 22-250, the Alaskan guide and his 45-70, or the two teenagers that I know from Jordan Montana, Gwen and Ari that started out shooting me five years ago!
I told myself that...
Not that your 7mm-08 using the 160 AB will shoot the same as mine did, but it shot 1.5” groups at 300 yards using H414, which is discontinued but W760 is the exact same thing. I don’t remember the charge, but it was pretty darn fast in a Hart barreled Wby Vanguard.
I suppose if Alliant begins bringing back their powders RL19, and 22 had always worked really well in my various ‘06’s, but those were with 180, 200, and 220 grain bullets. But those rifles had shorter barrels than the 26” you’re currently using.
FWIW, I have seen RL23 show up, but at the...
It is with a heavy heart that those fine ladies who were great hunters, an outstanding sailor, a great scientists and a skilled tracker that were a huge source of information and knowledge that got pushed away by the wrong people that plaques our society based on only that they themselves are...
LNIB just back from Ruger completely gone through and tested for safety, function, and fired for POA/POI with two types of Federal Ammunition.
This stock is beautiful compared to what was on it originally!! Floor plate is correctly working without binding. Everything looks great! I’m...
I still can’t get over the quality of the wood and grain on that beautiful rifle FOTIS!
Where did you it? Was it brand new, or did someone sell it off because he thought it was just too pretty?
I’m fairly satisfied that it will. But I want its new owner to know that it was never played with and better than just any factory gun sent out the door.
One day to complete the work. New stock, something to the bolt, fix the floor plate problem, the crown was worked on, and they polished the chamber!!
Checked it for function, test fired it, and then cleaned it up and shipped it!
Plus a target for peace of mind.
Ruger received the gun a week ago, and I was notified that it’s been given to a Technician for evaluation today!
Pretty efficient service for such a large company!
The floor plate should have never left the factory that way. Simply unacceptable for something so apparent to notice, but in...
Hodgdon put their magazine every year and typically it has a lot of different bullets depending on the cartridge. It’s not specific to one companies bullets, but it will only contain their powders.
I wasn’t aware that the stainless steel version uses a fluted barrel like the one you have. What length bbl. is yours wearing? For some reason it looks longer than 22”, do they offer a 24” too?
To me nothing is easier to make shoot than a Partition or Ballistic Tip. Either bullet has taken...
I’m not sure why I missed seeing this. That’s super cool that you’re able to do that and keep busy in the shooting industry! I’m glad you’re apart of that Guy, keep us updated whenever you’re able to. Lots of great things going on over there.
I’ve tried getting in contact with them for a...
