Nothing like finding a "bolt of lightning" to hunt with. Partition bullets are great bullets for sure. I've used a great many down through the years. However, I rarely use them anymore. For my hunting area I just don't need a bullet like that.

@JMRhino That's a great group with that 120 gr BT. I also noticed your SD and ES numbers. My load numbers were like that as well, however I really don't get caught up in things like that, especially when accuracy is where it should be. Another thing, I noticed your charge weight was 50.5 grs...

I used the 150 gr Ballistic Tip, seated to 2.760 with the Big Game powder. I also have a great load with the 140 Sierra non-tipped Gameking using IMR 4895 or Varget

Yes indeed, however, 4895 may not give the best velocity in any cartridge but where Ive tried it velocity is very respectable and accuracy is generally outstanding. Whether H or IMR, 4895 is a wonderful powder that simply shines in many cartridges. IMO, Im not sure there's a better all around...

6 pages of mostly 1st hand experience with the bullets in question! Pick one, work up a load, sight rifle in and go kill stuff. It's as simple as that!! Good luck!

I don't think it would matter but I would be finding a new one. Personally, Im too OCD when it comes to powder measuring.
