    New custom 25-06

I do love the .25-06! Took this whitetail doe with mine this year. The 100 grain NBT did a fantastic job!

    Its been a while....a friend s rifle.

Congratulations Troy! Tasty venison and a classic rifle, what’s not to like? My Dad uses the Sierra 87 grain Varminter in his .250-3000 and bemoans that Nosler won’t make an 80-85ish grain Partition.

    2026 Hunting Season

Finally got to shoot my first antelope ever in Wyoming! It was a 200 yard shot made with my old .30-06, Old Reliable. Not a monster but pretty representative of the average hereabouts. I bet he tastes amazing, got him right onto ice after some quick pictures!

    this seasons hunting plans

Truth be told Don, the elk tag and the muzzleloader tag were both leftover tags. So not only do I get to still go hunting but I am still building points.

Need help with damaged Rem 722 action

Were it me, I would have my local smith do the Sako/M-16 extractor modification on the 722 bolt. It’s about $150-175 but it will likely not break ever again. My smith in Bend did this last year for a relative’s Remington 700 in 6mm and it was a huge upgrade.

    Entering Hospice

He is with the Lord, free of the pain and misery of mortality. A happy day for him and a terrible one for those of us who tarry. You all will see him again. I take great comfort in that hope. I am so sorry for your loss Don.

    New Hat.

Don, it is vitally important that men such as yourself are involved in mentoring the upcoming youth. In my opinion it is just as important as the police or fire department. Too many voices filling kid’s heads full of crap. We appreciate your service!!

Won’t buy another Savage ever again

Sorry fellas but guns to me are a bit like women, there has to be some physical attraction or it will never last. 😂😂🤷‍♂️ Savage 99’s and the Model 1920 bolt action notwithstanding, I have never beheld a Savage that I liked good enough to take home and keep. Even if she shoots, which a good...
