About 10 years ago I bought a Rem 700 Light Varmint Stainless Fluted (LVSF) in 221 Fireball. I wanted a robust small-powder-capacity case and the Fireball bubbled to the top over things like the Hornet and other cartridges. I ended up re-forming 221 brass from 223 military brass. During load...
I'm not getting the results I hoped for using the 55 grain Ballistic TiP in my 223. My gun is a Kimber Longmaster Classic with a 1:9 twist.
Great results with the 40 grain Ballistic Tip and 40 grain Sierra BlitzKing's but the 55 grainers are not cooperating. Anyone use these bullets with...
Well I finally received my dies and scope mounts and rings. This is what it looks like with the Redfield 3-10X50mm scope, Leupold mounts and x-high rings.
Kimber Longmaster Classic in 223 Remington - 24" flutted heavy barrel.
I bore sighted it and took it to the range with 20 handloads to...

These Moose trophys  were taken with my 25-06 Rem (Ruger #1V) and 243 Win (CZ550 Full Stock) on the 100 yard range in Spring Valley Ohio. The handloads for the 25-06 were Nosler 100 grain Ballistic Tip bullets. The 243 was Remington factory ammo 100 grain Core Lock bullets. You can see...
Picked this up from another forum. Run the flat portion of the shaft of an electric toothbrush (minus the brush) up and down the side of the cartridge case to settle the powder for compressed loads. It allows you to get more powder in the case.
New to this board but not new to reloading. I reload several cartridges - 300 Win Mag, 7mm Rem Mag, 45-70, 25-06, and 243 Win.
Looking forward to participating in the banter.
