Gun socks for storage in safe to prevent scratches? Rust?

In a crowded safe, are gun socks a good idea to prevent scratches? If so, what is your favorite fabric? Absorbent cotton or hydrophobic polyester? Safe is not in a commonly humid climate.

    Shout out to RCBS

Have a decapping die with a broken pin. None of the pins fit that are available locally or at Midway, Amazon etc. I called RCBS. Apparently I have a first run die with no date that was put together with parts unknown. So for free they just mailed me the whole threaded rod and pin assembly.

    Rusting Leupold Scope Mounts

Just got back from the High Buck hunt in WA. Rained on the scramble in. My Leupold scope mounts rusted on the first day of rain! Is this a common thing? I have several other mounts old and new that have been in more prolonged wet weather, even coastal sea air, that didn't do this. Any thoughts?

    Can I use IMR4227 for H4227?

Rumor has it that IMR4227 is rebranded H4227 (which isn't on the current Hodgdon burn chart). I see some nice heavy loads for 38 special using H4227 and I have a couple of pounds of IMR 4227. Okay to use IMR for H data?
