This is a map of the national public lands in 11 western states that could be sold under the Senate version of the BBB.
It's a huge amount of land. Much include important watersheds for city and agriculture. You can check and see if it is places you hunt or get your water, travel thru etc...
Opened a bottle of titegroup today to try some subsonic loads in 308 as a replacement for TrailBoss. Took 12 rounds out to the range and it shot well at 50 yards.
Came back in to load some more and found the powder stuck to the sides of the clear plastic hopper on my RCBS measure. Even dawn...
Found where to hold the reticle in relation to the scope set for deer load. (lower left shots) It ends up to be holding the lower thick part of the duplex reticle on the bull.
Then shot three, 3 shot groups at 50 yards. They all hit in the same spot about the size of a grouse's head. Very...
After getting some very fast loads compared to book velocities, I cleaned my rifle very deeply including iosso with brushes and then wipeout overnight.
Velocity dropped 200 fps with the next rounds.
After some searches I find some shooters saying the Reloder 16 I was using lays down carbon...
Trying out some 75 grain Hornady hollow point in the 25-270. Reloder 16
Looks like I am going to have to drop down another grain. This load was 1 grain under max.
All of a sudden I noticed all shots going over the top of the paper. Apparently the front sight had fallen off! Couldn't find the sight or the roll pin. I see a HiViz sight offered. I went ahead an ordered it.
What would be a good replacement?
Is a fiber optic sight durable and a step up?
Other...
Looks like we are in for another oil price drop (with drop in gas prices and increase in natural gas prices likely) like the last two time Popus was in office. The downside is like the last times, we are losing drill rigs and refineries in the US because the price of oil is too low to make a...

No one has had this brass in stock for years.
I see plenty of 9mm ammo. The local store has a limit of 5000 rounds per purchase at 18 cents a round. How come it's not worth it to make just rifle brass at close to $2...
Hoping to take my father in law shooting. We used to go near Boca to the USFS range but it seems to be closed due to truck traffic from a nearby barrow pit.
Are there any wild/public ranges for rifle near Reno?
North 40 store has a 15% off everything sale today, so I went to see if they had any powder I needed. Got some Varget. I have never heard the name of it pronounced. I asked for Var-Jet. The sales lady corrected me if front of my peers and said "Oh, you mean Var-Get".
Staying humble.
We won't know for sure until it happens, but do you think tariffs will increase costs for components? General talk was about world wide tariffs, but the most recent statements have been 25% on Canada and Mexico, 35% on China. If this were to happen, looks like Canadian IMR Powders would go up...
Foggy whitetail hunt. Might as well bring something for closer in.
Mossberg in 375 Ruger
Plastic for bad weather
1.5X4.5 weaver scope for quick acquisition
Light at 7 lbs with sling and ammo
285 grain cast bullets easy on the shoulder
NE Washington. Pretty place to sit and glass. About 500 yards to the farthest tree line. Friend told of a big whitetail taken here earlier in the season. Saw a black wolf as well.
