I think that people get too worried about the numbers sometimes. When you actually get out and shoot, you tend to realize that in most hunting situations those numbers mean a lot less than you thought they did. I agree that BC is a big deal when you are shooting in heavy wind at 500 plus...
If you go back and actually read my post you will see that I was responding to mrandrew who questioned why people liked the nosler so much due to its low BC, or Ballistic Coefficient, and that the Speer had a higher BC, or Ballistic Coefficient of .52.
My response was to him basically saying...
If you run the numbers there is a sub MOA difference in drop between the two, the Partition at .410 BC and the Speer at .520 BC at 2640 FPS out to about 475 Yds. The drop for the Partition at 300 Yds is 15.9 inches vs the drop for the Speer 14.9 inches. Now I'm a pretty good shot, but I know in...

I hand load for 300 Win Mag, 270 Win, 308 Win, and .44Mag. I hope to soon add to that the 6.5x55SE, but dont tell my wife, she doesn't...

Not too long ago I picked up an H59 scope and love it. At first I thought it was a little busy but I got used to it pretty quickly. I like the fact that I dont need to dial for windage or distance. I have one on my 308 and 300 win mag and find it very effective. What are your thoughts?
