Has anyone had bad luck using Winchester small rifle primers in >223 semi-auto?? I read somewhere a while back that they are to soft to use in an AR-15, risking the chance of slamfires. They are all I can find and I want to stock up.
Thanks, Gregg
I don't know if this is a mistake or just an abnormal situation. looking at the .300 RUM using Retumbo, it shows max. 98 gr. for a 165 gr. Accubond and max. 99 gr. for a 180gr. Should'nt the lighter bullet handle a larger charge than the heavier one???

WOW!! only two more months to wait. That will make EIGHT months I've been Waiting! I guess the two Mexicans pounding them out with a hammer and anvil found more burro crap to fuel their furnace.
Has anyone done any performance tests or used on game and recovered bullet? They shoot a little more accurate for me than accubonds, but hard to switch to something new.
OK now I am really PO'd, I forked out $71 to Midway for a box of Nosler Custom .300 ammo just to get the Nosler brass and I open the box and it is Remington brass!! Nosler Custom loaded in RP cases!! Five month long runaround and still no brass. What a joke!!!
Saturday, 3-1 I broke down and ordered a box of loaded .300 just to have 20 more pieces of brass and today Nosler calls to say they are out of this now. Heads should roll!!
Ive been waiting for nosler to get .300 brass since first of December. They told us yesterday best scenario would be mid May. Six months or more. I dont get it!
Should both bullets shoot identical as in P.O.I., drop, etc.?? (.284, .30, .338 calibers.) With weight, B.C. etc. being the same, I dont know if the internal differances matter.
Good, I am glad to here the rest of the story. I too agree Nosler brass is great. I had to buy a box of loaded Nosler ammo from Midway in December just to have brass to start load development. Been struggling with only 20 rounds while I am still waiting for Nosler to get it in stock.
Not intending to cause a ruckus on my first reply, but when I called Shooters pro shop in December to find out why Nosler has been out of .300 brass foreeeeeeever, they told me it was made overseas and they had no control and no idea when. Kinda figured Norma made it after that since alot of...
