I love my Ruger 1V in the 220 swift. I shoot 50 gr at 3850 FPS and it really reaches out and touches those P-dogs. No problem at 450 to 550 yards. My shooting pardner wanted to know it I was shooting hand germades at them.

Well being a retired mfg engr I just figure it out why Nosler is slow getting into the 17 & 20 cal bullet making.
1) In order to keep up with the supply of bullets needed the stamping presses would have to make soooo many strokes that they would wear out faster than their other presses.

:grin: I am a p-dog shooter with my 17rem and I probably shoot more bullets in one day than most big game hunters shoot in there life time.

Just a note to let ya know I am still shooting and reloading brand xyz 17 cal bullets. The reason I am not using Nosler is as you know, they don't offer them in 17 cal.
I will say that I use Nosler's in my 22 cals and 243 cal though and like them.

Well, just to add my 2 cents to this post.
My shooting pardner and myself are retired and make about four trips a year out to South Dakota to shoot p-dogs. Oh, bye the way, we have gave up big game hunting because it is to much work for us old timers.
