Heath,
Have you thought about trying another scope? Scopes will go bad. When you change out the scope, that will give you a good opportunity to check the base screws. What scope, and rings and bases are you using?

My Dad bought one of the new production Winchester SS Extreme rifles in 308. I was impressed with the qualitly of workmanship. The first load I tried with Varget and a 150 Ballistic Tip shot 1/2". I am thinking about one for myself. All of the other examples I've seen look just as good...
58.5 grs of H4831 and 140 Accubonds has worked great, for me, in 3 different rifles. This load kills elk stone dead if you do your part. Start a grain to grain and a half lower and work up. Good luck!

Shoots,

I am curious about using Ramshot Hunter or Magnum in my 270 with 150 Partitions. I was wondering if anyone else has worked with this combination. How did it work? What primers did you use?
Thanks for your help.

I've know of a 9.3 x 62 shooting a 250 Accubond going lengthwise through a 6x6 bull....twice! I can't imagine a 338/250 wouldn't be at least as good, and theoretically (dangerous word) should be better.
Just out of curiosity, what does he recommend?

I'm running 58.5 grs of H4831sc and a Federal 210 in Norma brass. I seat .030" off the lands. This load has been REALLY accurate in 3 different rifles. Velocity runs 2970 fps.
Remember to work up carefully! YMMV.

I was able to speak to the head of customer service at Vortex one morning. He told me their goal was to have customer service as good as Leupolds. He was well aware that was the gold standard they would have to meet.
