Pop, Hunting is not bad in N.C.. The deer hunting will be great, but they're smaller than you are used to. You should be able to find long and short range habitat. I prefer field edges myself. Small game? It's a rabbit and squirrel hunters paradise!!! Retirment with a couple of beagles...
