Fantastic
I just bought my first 308win this year I’ve only had it out to 300 yards but it holds 1/2 MOA out there with factory ammo. Can’t wait till I get around to reloading for it
I bought a secondhand Bushnell 1600 elite for a hundred bucks it was hardly used and looked almost brand new. Ranges small animals around 450 meters, cows to about 550 meters (600yd) tree line to 800 metres and buildings to around 1200 meters. But once you start shooting longer range it's...
The 350gr Hornady load is the exact same load as mine with the same velocity, recoil is fierce IMO. My Marlin is a XLR with 24 inch barrel, i get consistent 1.5 inch groups with 1-4x leupold scope. I also use gummie brass and just don't bother crimping, despite the nay Sayers I've never had a...
What I'm doing with quick load is run 4 groups of different charge weights over the chronograph, adjust the Ba in the powder part of quick load (as per QL sticky)to match up with the averaged velocity of those groups. Then with the corrected Ba adjust the powder charge till it matches a safe...
I'm absolutely amazed with these nodes it just incredible how predictable it's becoming my 105 Amax's at predicted node 5 dropped to a 0.3 inch group!!and just 1 inch lower than the 87 grain V-max which is fantastic, it wasn't looking good there for a while.
Now with confidence I can tackle my...
I think I want one in 6.5 creed-more, prolly be a long wait in Australia to get one though and current exchange rate will probably make it pretty expensive.
I'm using H4831 in my 243 and have to put slightly different values in for the Ba when changing bullet weights, 87-105 grain so would imagine you would have to prove it with every different caliber as well. I just hope my chronograph is accurate.
QL says this should be right on node 4 and its dramatically better. Going from around 1 inch groups working up the loads in .5 grain increases, then it just went through the same hole (y). Will chronograph it next time out as I didn't have time today. Tried some 105 Amax's but I didn't have...
So I've gone through my Reloder 17 data for my wildcat and found quick load was about 100 fps optimistic. Made the change to the Ba to 0.5100 from 0.5375 which matches the velocities pretty much of 5 different charge weights, so now are the pressure predictions more accurate? I'm more concerned...
I have a question when I'm loading ADI AR 2209 in my 7mm Rem mag with 150gr bullets books /website say 57.0 gr max load, QL shows only 39,727psi what one should I believe
Been reading this forum for a couple of years decided to join to say thanks for the explanation. Helps me understand why I can't get accuracy when I really push my 7 mm rem mag. I can't quite reach the next node with my 24 inch barrel running 150gr CT BT. Will get .7 inch but only around 2800...
