    custom ammo for 22LR

Rimfires are very unique animals in that the barrels dictate how accurately they'll shoot with a given brand/type of ammunition. I've owned high dollar Anschutz's that wouldn't shoot "Match" ammunition worth a hoot, but feed them some $2/box wolf or Winchester ammo and it would shoot one-hole...

    Traditional?

Guy, Archery season has been around since long before the advent of modern compound bows or crossbows, so saying these seasons were specifically developed for primitive hunting is totally false. The developments in bows was a direct result of hunters wanting increased performance, ease of use...

    Ogive measurements

It all depends on what definition of ogive you go by. When it comes to bullets, most consider the ogive as the point where the nose (cone) of the bullet stops and the shank starts. This is the point your dies need to seat off of to most accurately control your seating depth (from the lands)...

    Smokeless ML barrel for Encore?

While I know the Encores are extremely popular, I'm not fond any rifle that "break in the middle". Not only canl you run into accuracy issues when the fit loosens up, but they also beat your scope to death each time you slap it open and slam it shut. If you want to go smokeless, the Savage is...

    Traditional?

Different strokes for different folks. I own both "modern" and "traditional" muzzleloaders, but save the traditional one strictly for punching paper. When it comes to hunting though I choose the increased terminal performance and reliability of the inline over the flintlock.

NOSLER - more weight selection in 224 cal bullets, please.

Try the Sierra 65gr Gamekings. These things hit like a sledge hammer and will dang near punch through a 1/2" thick steel plate at 200 yards from a standard 22-250 with a 1-9" barrel. According to Rich Machholz at Sierra, these were originally designed for the Aussies for shooting Roo's, and as...

I'll second the R-19 powder. I'm using 56.5gr with the 85gr BT's and very good groups (when I don't screw it up). Here's some groups I just shot just yesterday. Bone Stock Savage 111GL .25-06 Bushnell Elite 3200 3-9x40 Shot off concrete bench using bipod (100 yards) Remington Brass CCI BR2...

    Ogive measurements

Contrairy to popular belief, most dies DO NOT seat off the ogive. In fact of all the seating dies I presently have, only the Forster Micrometer seaters actually seat off the ogive. Lee .223 Seater Cup (0.205") RCBS 22-250 Seater Cup (0.190") Redding .222 Seater Cup (0.185")
