That’s as close as i can get to lands, boattail just past the shoulder junction. (all of it).
Interestingly, these are pretty dang close to the QL DrMike provided...
Awesome! Thank you. I’ll report back on actuals for future reference.
Was thinking a little more was there from the H4350 and RL16. But i suppose it’s pretty close considering the 20” bbl.
Looks like i can try a drop tube on the 26, as there is still some room to go.
Again, thanks for...
I don’t have brass capacity.

I was interested to see what some 1x Rem factory loaded brass looked like.
Measured 10, 273.4 gr.
Measured 3 loaded w/h20, 387.4
Net cap = 114.
They were also in the 2.740 - 2.742 range.
So, Nosler brass SD was like 0.4 grains (for 12).
Rem was SD 1.1 for 10.
Nosler was 15 gr (5.5%)heavier...
Oops, make that 111.96 with oxygenated water.
113.3 with deoxygenated this AM.
Brass is 2.740 - 2.742 after 1 firing. All of the new Nosler brass is "short" at 2.736 ish to start with. At least the 200 i have were.

Haha, Thanks!
I went through the process, closely, prior to reading this. So, oxygenated water..
Weighed 12 cases (the 7977 cases). Avg 288.37 gr.
Picked 3 cases that weighed 288.4.
Filled and re-weighed those 3.
avg 400.33
net capacity = 113.96.
I'll re-do in the AM i guess...
It was last saturday i believe it was around 50.
What's the process for getting capacity? Weigh spent case, fill with water, weigh again? (I guess i answered my own question there)
Thanks for the help. I'll see if i can sneak away to get capacity this weekend!

I am looking at 210 TTSX with RL26 and IMR 7977.
Nosler Brass (not sure on h20 capacity)
Fed 215GM
3.736 oal (0.10 off lands)

I did load (and shoot over magnetospeed) some 7977, so i'm interested to see what the predictions look like in comparison.
Thank you,

Thanks gentlemen.
I plan on trying some other powders and taking another stab at the 250 AB's over the winter.
I have some 7977 and RL22. A friend has shot 210's with RL22 for years.
225 E-tip looks very intriguing, but it has proven elusive to date.
JD338 - What's your oal? was 98.6 highly...
Newby questions
Preface by saying I pulled some info from JD338 and DrMike in getting a starting point for 2 loads.
1. 250 AB/Retumbo
2. 225 TTSX/Retumbo (Pulled this from #3 manual also)
Nosler Brass, 215GM
Both were loaded to 3.72 oal. Lands are +\- 3.8 for both 250 ab and 225 TTSX...
