I use the Stoney Point O.A.L. gauge to locate the lands, then back off to the length that either feeds OK, or gives the best group. Most times, I go with the best group, and load one at a time. The bullet free travel will vary with each chamber.
Mine's a large ring Mauser and likes 42.5 grains of H4350 behind a 140 gr Nosler BT, and CCI 200 primers. Not the fastest, but good groups.
Always work up slowly.
I do this, but for magnum turkey shotshells.
UPS to the west coast is a killer, but not too bad if you buddy up for a couple of boxes.
Can I plug a website without getting zapped? <www.kensloads.com>
two places to look:
www.grafs.com, Part # MEC844728, MEC812028, MEC65028
www.midwayusa.com, Part # 396803, 446938, 472302
Both have several more expensive ones.
I love my 28's. Have 3 of them.

I have an "older" 6mm 24" barrel with 1-12" twist.
Want to use Nosler bullets for deer.
How heavy can I go and still expect the bullet to stabilize ??
For BT ??
For Partition ??
For Accubond ??
Thanks for any insight.
