Which would you choose in a 338 win mag? The winchester comes with the 26 inch barrel and the ruger comes with the 24 inch barrel. The winchester is alittle bit lighter. The winchester i would get duracoated and the ruger i would get in stainless.

both rifles weigh the same, both are equally as accurate, and the shooter can shoot either one just as good. Is there any real world difference between a 300 win mag and a 30-06 for elk out to 450 yards

is there really any difference in these to rounds when ranges are kept under 400 yards for prairie dogs and coyotes.
