Going for a sore shoulder tomorrow

To avoid this, I just use a fine point sharpie and write load and OAL on case, so I know what each load is. Dave Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

    Accubond Disappointment

I had same problem with my Weatherby 270 Win using 140 grain Accubonds and 150 grain Accubond Long Range. I couldn't get them to group. However, The 140 grain Nosler Ballistic Tips shot great as well as Hornady 145 ELD-X. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

    Did you ever screw up?

Yep, Ben there done that. Also once I loaded about eight 30 Cal bullets in 270 Win Brass late at night. I remember my .270 die was way off on seating depth and it was really hard to seat the bullets. Thinking something was wrong with the die I took it apart to clean it. I then looked at a...

    When to retire tumbling media?

TackDriver284 I like your Idea, I had just been cutting up the sheats in about 1"×3" strips and letting them tumble in the media. I think I will try your method instead. Thanks for the tip and sharing [emoji106] Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk

270 Win 140 AB Assistance needed

I too have a Weatherby Vanguard S2 in .270 Win, with a moderate contour 24" barrel. My rifle did not like the Nosler 140 grain Accubond. The best I could do was about 1.25" 100 yard groups at 100 yards with 51 grains IMR 4831. Everything else was in the 1.5 to 2.5 inch range. I settled on this...

    Vanilla Ice Cream

I also got the 500 free .308 150gr FB SP bullets from Hornady. They shoot fantastic out of my .308 Win SPS TACTICAL AAC-SD 1-10 twist. I use 44.9 grains of IMR 4064, seated at the cannelure with Winchester Large Rifle Primers. (This is a safe load in my rifle, always work up for your rifle)...

Best 308 150 grain load recipe poll....

Yes it shoots real well for me. I can't get anywhere near .020 off the lands with this rifle factory Remington. FYI, 44.9 grains of IMR 4064 is a max load in Hornady's book. Coincidentally 44.9 grains of Varget is also max load in Hornady's manual. 44.0 grains of IMR 4064 even shot well for me...

Best 308 150 grain load recipe poll....

My Remington 308 Winchester loves the Hornady 150 grain Spire Point Flat Base bullet with 44.9 grains of IMR 4064 seated at the Cannelure, base to Ogive = 2.152", COAL ~ 2.750" (no crimp). I get about 2740 -2760 fps out of a 20" 1-10 twist barrel. Seems to be an ice cream load for 2 factory...
