I saw the Meateater Hawaii episode as well and think it would be a fun hunt. Maybe once our kids fly the nest, I can convince my wife to take a Hawaiian vacation that includes a day or two for hunting.

This morning I took a whitetail doe at approximately 50 yards using a Tikka 270 WSM loaded with 130 grain E-tip over max charge of Mag-pro powder. This load chronographed a little over 3200 FPS. The deer was uphill from me and at the shot she took about two hops on three legs and then slide...

I have one in 350 Legend and really like it. It is as accurate as I am with various loads. I like how this rifle carries as well.
