I don't think Hodgdon makes any powders. ADI makes them and Hodgdon distributes them with their name.

We are not arguing about BTO, CBTO. I was trying to answer the direct questions which was about COAL, and how the different bullets, same manufacurer, same caliner, same weight vary.

Yes, but he was talking about COAL. I only use COAL to make sure it fits the magazine. I use Ogive for seating/jump but always take into account the depth in the case. You can change the pressure signifigantly if you are not following standard safety practices

There are two partition bullets. The protected point is 1.180 long and the Spitzer is 1.260 long. The BT is 1.360 and the AB is 1.380, all these for the .30 cal, 180 grains

I am confused. The protected tip (i.e. ballistic tip, accubond) is longer than the partition. At same COAL, the BT and AB are seating further into the case, not the other way around.

There is a Norma-ammunition site/store and the have dealers all over the country. One of them advertises a lot on another forum, his company is RavenRocksPrecision, not sure if he carries shells but he does carry norma ammo

Real silly folks. I shoot PT and AB same powder, same load, pretty much same grouping

For my needs, I load my M70 Classic Stainless 30.06 with 150 grn BT, H4831 and 0.010 off the lands. Get a real real tight group. My daughters is the one who hunts with it, always DRT.

I don’t nor do I plan on owing one. The only 21st modern/Century cartridge I own is 300AAC I bought for suppressed subsonic fun with my kids

My goto powder for 270 and 30.06 is H4831. I believe the ADI is AR2213

I use 150 BT in my 30.06 for whitetail harvesting in Texas. I used to use 180 BT in my 1959 300WBY. I would tend toward 180 for Elk, BT or AB

Works perfectly for me. One of only few Hornady tools I have.

Barnes 30 cal 180 TSX shoots great with IMR7828 in my 300WBY. but I have never hunted with it yet.
