I'm currently shopping for either a Guide Gun or a 22"-er, and the first place I came was to see if Nosler had a bullet for me. Everything I've read is that the 405 gr cast bullets are the cat's meow with these guns. I believe there are a lot of them being sold, as I cannot hardly find a used...
But I hunt elk with an M-1 Garand. I'm looking at loading this year with Partitions, and will probably go with a 180 gr. What is the purpose and end result differences between the Spitzer and the Protected Point?
Additionally, should I be looking at the Partition Gold? I can't really load up...
