What Kind Of Accuracy Are You Getting With Partitions?

About 5 years ago I realized that partitions shot superbly and performed as represented out of every rifle I used them in. I decided ther was no point in using anything else for hunting. I simply don't use any other bullet-except Woodleigh in the 458 Lott. Oh yeah the varmint loads use the BP.

    .300 Savage

You'll love it! I just bought a 99 30-30 takedown with a Weaver 330 on it. It shoots MOA with just about any factory load I've used in it. I also have two in 300 Savage- one has a twist that is not amenable to 180gr bullets.

    Solid Copper bullets, etc

In big bores you don't need anything over 2300 fps. That's why you use a big bore. The 9.3x62 kills like God's Wrath at 2300 fps.

    POWDER SELECTION

I'd like to see some modern powder loads for the 264 Win Mag too.

    9.3 x 62mm loads

My load is a 286 gr Partition with 54.6 gr Norma 201. I chronographed it at 2290 out of a CZ 550 Lux. It is a Norma factory duplication load and shoots MOA or better in 3 rifles. I use the same load in a 9.3x74R with the same accuracy out of a Valmet 412. It excells as a hunting load. A...

    ACCUBOND PROBLEMS

Several years ago I decided that there was no point in using any other bullet than the Partition. I put one end to end in a wart hog and end to end in a Kudu. Both lost the front half of the bullet but the shot in the Kudu passed through the hip on it's way to the area under the right shoulder...

    180gr Partition or 200gr Accubond

I took that load to Africa last year and was very pleased with performance on plains game. One wart hog ran about 20 yds because I hit him through the liver instead on the lungs. He was done though. That was about a 220 yd shot and longer than I usually shoot. I'm able to shoot long range but...
