I load 10.7gn for the 190gn Sub-X and it goes 1050fps from my 16" carbine. I'd suggest working down from there until the wanted velocity shows up. I use A1680 and any small rifle primer I can find because it's the only propellant I found that generates sufficient gas to properly cycle AR pattern...
I also recall loading with 3.2gn N320. My tuned 5" M&P liked it. 855,844,863,865,839. 855fps @ 10', 10.2 SD, 26 ES.
QuickLOAD indicates 3.2gn N320 will send a 147gn Berry's ~1050 out of a 16" PCC.
I got to the chronograph. 147gn Berrys and 3.2gn N320 sent it 925fps from the 16" PCC...
I'm working up a load with the Nosler #30181 bullet for my 14.5" 1:7 5R pistol gas system, H3 buffer, std spring, Sandman-S suppressed.
I found the Nosler V9 load data starts with 11.0gn A1680. The result is the bullet will not seat to the required COL or chamber. That long bullet takes up lots...
147gn Berry's, 3.7gn CFE Pistol, seated to 1.16" works in my 16" PCC. 948,960,978,974,963,968,965,982,943,963. 964fps @ 10', 11.6 SD, 39 ES
For reference, the same load in a Performance Center Shield goes 815fps and 4.0gn CFE-P in a 5" RIA 1911 goes 905fps. SD and ES stayed consistent in both...
I am completely wrong. The Nosler #30181 1.465" measured bullet seated at ***2.23" COL will not chamber***. I have to re-work my QuickLOAD calculation starting at 10.0gn A1680 and work up .1gn at a time using the 2.100" COL.
Correction. The 190gn Sub-X needed >11 MIL @ 300yds to get on target. Hornady claims the Patented Flex Tip® technology aids in expansion at velocities as low as 900 fps. My ballistic calculator suggests my load would be ~950fps at that distance. I didn't do the actual test to find out.

I've been able to press out to a windy 300yds just for fun even though it needs >11 MOA.

I use the 220gn FCP CamPro on top of A1680 in the 14.5" 1:7 5R 300 BLK pistol gas system suppressed and it's consistently sub-MOA at 1050mv.
The same load works in my 16" 1:8 carbine gas system, too.
The 220gn plated Berry's work, just not as consistently on target as the CamPro.
A1680 just...
going all the way way back to the OP,
Yes I've tried IMR-4166. I developed a load and went to the chronograph to confirm.
I use a 150gr FMJ over 42.2gr of IMR-4166 in a Federal once-fired case, lit it with a CCI-34 primer, and it got me in the mid-2600's MV from a 20" barrel. The group size...
