Excellent bullet, and obviously your rifle likes the load. If this load is primarily for deer size game, either whitetail, or mule you have more than enough bullet to meet those parameters. Actually better for Elk IMO, but superb either way.

As most here; I can confirm without reservation, that bullet in that cartridge will kill elk. I hunted here in Colorado with a father son duo along with 3 other friends for over a decade and hauled many harvested elk out of the forest. None were killed with this bullet, it was before its time...
