Steve, howdy. I don't post too much on here, as I am usually a non-social hermit. But I do read a lot, and try to shoot a lot. I have a 16 inch Bushmaster 1:9 rifle. It sounds like you got the 20 inch A2 rifle. That Colt is a good choice, not to mention it will NEVER lose any value unless you...
guys, this scares the literal crap out of me. I am physically sick over this kind of thing, and the election in general.
Please go out to some of our competition, or opposition's websites and read what they really want...
Here's one for a starter...try not to freak the h(*& out when you read...
1) How often do you visit the Shooter's Pro Shop website?
several times a month
2) Do you place your order via phone or through the site?
on the site
3) Do you feel we are competitively priced?
sort of, sometimes not. it's give and take
4) Did you find what you were looking for?
sometimes...
Fellers, howdy. Have any of you stepped up yet to the 60 grain BT yet in their AR or bolt 223's?? Loads? Thoughts? Does Nosler have any data on the site for this bullet for selected calibers?
Yeah, that sounds right. I need to clean it really good before heading down to Montana, so I'll take the stock off it and look under there for a brand...
Guys, thanks for all the replies. It's looking like the B&C one from the Remington lightweight rifles...in stock at Stocky's for $249.95. that's pretty darn good. I have a AWR 375 H&H, and I think it might have one of these stocks on it, not sure. I thought it might be a McMillan also, but I am...
Fellers, I have my Classic 700 7 Wby in to the doctor's office getting a few things done. it is getting a flute job, and action squaring and trigger job. What I am looking for is some suggestions for a new stock to lighten it up a bit. Right now it is stocked with an HS Precision, and it's just...
Yes, you can transport handguns through Canada. They have a website with all their restricted and prohibited weapons listed on it and even the forms you can fill out. A friend of mine in 2002 brought a Les Baer 45, 4 inch gun through down to Carolina. He just got back up here last October, and...
Guys, I wanted to drop a line with an update. they finally chose my assignment and it is in fact Montana. I can't wait, even though I love Alaska. My wife and i are really looking forward to this trip. Even the drive down there should be neat. We plan to see a lot of stuff in Canada on the way...
funny ya'll should mention brass.. I was working on some 35 Whelen loads Saturday and my buddy was doing the trimming on them while I was working on something else. the Remington brass was so soft, the trimmer cutter kept getting hung up on the case mouths. Very strange.
after we fooled around...
Yeah, what he said!
Have you tried any Benchmark yet? I have a bunch of test loads built with that, but don't have my notes with me. I had bought some of the Partitions from the Pro Shop a few weeks back...
Guys, again, thanks for all the replies. It looks like now I am in the assignment bucket. I will get picked out of 2 choices, Montana, and FE Warren. I guess either would be ok, but I'm holding out for Montana.
if Nosler would only step up and help us out and make a few decent shorty bullets for us 358 lovers....sigh..
What we need is a 200 or maybe a 185 grain accubond, or Ballistic Tip for the 358...should have a fat ogive and flat base so it ain't so dang long...
I have used the 200 Gr TSX, and 200...
Hey, I feel your pain, as I am in Alaska! But those guys have done a real good job of getting my stuff out in a reasonable time. I ordered some stuff from Midway right after Christmas and it took them an extra few days to get it all rounded up because of inventory crap.
I have a question for the guy with his "issue" M-4. I also have a Bushmaster and it has the mil-spec chrome lined bore. Why in the world would you bother to add a coating of oil to chrome???Is it needed? I only lube the working pieces of mine, and so far haven't seen any rust forming in the...
Guys, thanks a lot for all the info, especially the stuff about the liscense issues. It will bear looking into.
Pop, I have been a heavy equipment mechanic my whole career, but have been out of it for a bit. I have several years here in AK as a purchasing guy for our Middle East vehicle fleet...
I guess I should have clarified the non-resident thing. I am a resident of Alaska, and get the permanent fund every year. if I claim residency or buy a resident hunting liscence in any other state, it will knock me out of the dividend for that year. it's a dilemma sort of..
