How do you clean the chamber of a semiauto rifle? If you push the rod through from the muzzle (the only option) you leave all the extra fluids etc in the chamber and you can't get to it to clean it. My browing 270 is surprisingly accurate for a semi auto. I don't think I do an adequate job of...

Got a new one a couple weeks ago and my son-in-law and I went to the range with it this past week end. I like it very much. My eyes leaave a bit to be desired and I have cifficulty seeing the sights in the indoor range. Think I need to get the front one painted or a reflective one installed. I...
Just handled the new SIS at several different stores during the last week. It is the best balancing and feeling pistol I have held...BUT...... the SIS letters engraved in the slide to provide grip for cocking the gun look real fancy and are attractive but totally useless for providing grip to...
I am trying to select a scope for a 260 I am getting built. I am currently looking at a VXIII 6.5 x 20 x 50 and a Mark 4 6.5 x 20 x 50. What is your experence, knowledge and/or opinions on the following:

A dealer is trying to convience me that a Springfield is as good or better than a Kimber. I have never shot either of them and I want to buy a 45. The Springfield is considerably cheaper. Seems to me the Kimber is much better quality so at present I am leaning toward the Kimber thinking it is...
I keep reading about the effect of temperature variations on different powders but it is difficult to interpret just what the effect is and how much concern I should have with it. Examples:
Developing loads in summer in 90 to 95 degree South Carolina weather and hunting with them in the...
I haven't loaded for my 270 in many years. I find 2 boxes of Nosler bullets on my shelf.

I sometimes load my gear etc into the truck at night before going hunting in the morning. If temperature drops to 22 degrees during the night what impact will this have on my bullet performance in the morning?
I have tried to change my E-mail address in my profile with no success. Would someone tell me how to do this. I had to change my  e-mail address. Thanks.
Talking briefly with a reloading friend ... he said he did not like dies that used bushings. Didn't get to ask what his objection was. Not knowing much about this subject what is your opinion on pros and cons of dies that use bushings?
I want competition dies for a 260 caliber but haven't seen them anywhere. Anyone know where I can get a set? If not has anyone had experience with having them custom made? Cost? Satisfaction with custom made ones etc ? ?
My Rem 700 has a 1 : 14 twist and the Savage catalog shows their barrells to have a 1 : 12 twist. What performance difference will I find in the two barrell twist? Thanks
