    Info on Nosler 6.5mm BTs

Just now seen this thread. I've had great results from the 260 Rem using H-4350 (actually, my rifle is a 260 AI). Using the 100g Partition and 50.0g of H-4350 I get 3,340 fps from a 24" barrel. I since shortened the barrel on my rifle to 22" and the velocity on that load dropped to 3,285 fps...

    105 gr. 6.5 semi-point Partition ?

Any one have a picture? I would like to see what one looks like. I've always thought a 110g bullet would be a great weight for the 260 Rem and this is pretty close.

    Nosler Reloading Manual #6.

Did they go back and shoot all the existing cartridges in the manual using the Ramshot powders? I would sure be interested in looking at loads for the 260 Rem using Ramshot's Hunter and Big Game so I hope that sort of update is in the new manual.

    POWDER SELECTION

I would like to see Nosler consider replacing the "old" ball powders typically used for load development with more modern, improved powders of similar quickness. Example, why list H-414 data when H-4350 is available that is much less, temperature sensitive, cleaner burning, and doesn't require...

    Hey Nosler

Sounds good.......EXCEPT...... You can't get 2,950 fps from a 130g bullet from a 260 Rem. The 100g BT is not a varmint bullet....it's a big game bullet, ie., for use on antelope and deer. Does this change your thinking that it is the "near perfect balance"? The 130g Accubond will be neat in...

    Hey Nosler

Another vote for the 110g - 115g Accubond. Would be perfect in the 260!!! Everyone has the heavy weight bullets covered in 26cal. A tough bullet in this weight range doesn't exist.......somebody step in and fill this void!!!

    100g 26 cal BT at 2,200 - 2,400 fps on Whitetail?

What are your thoughts on the effectivness of the 100g Nosler BT at 2,200 - 2,400 fps on whitetail? Shots will be under 100 yds and most likely 20 - 70 yds. Think it will expand and penetrate ok or should I use a bit more velocity? Would I be better off using the 100g Partition at these speeds...

    NEW FOR 2006

2ndtimer, Interesting points. I'm betting that Nosler came out with the heaviest weight bullet that would stabilize in a standard factory twist of most cartridges. The AB is fairly long and would probably not stabilize in the 1:9" twist of the 260 Rem, thus the 130g selection. This is...

    NEW FOR 2006

Oh no. At 260 Rem and 6.5x55 velocity with 130g bullets, why does one need a Premium bullet? I would have no problem with this except the odds of coming out with a second, lighter Accubond in 26 cal are likely zero and none. Now will the competition come out with a 129g bonded competitor? I...

    WHAT ACCUBOND SHOULD BE NEXT?

110g - 120g Accubond in 26 cal 8) Now get going and make it!!! Ha!

26 Cal Accubond? When? What Weight?

Hate to say it......but considering the response to this thread.......I think I understand why there is not an Accubond in 26 cal. Only 6 people have even taken the time to vote. :(

26 Cal Accubond? When? What Weight?

When will we have a 26 cal Accubond? Hope it's made with the 260 Rem in mind and has a weight of 120g or less. Hornady will probably come out with a 129g Interbond eventually. If you jump over that weight.....your at 140g. At the speeds a 260 shoots a 140g bullet, you typically don't need a...

    WHAT ACCUBOND SHOULD BE NEXT?

So what are the new Accubonds offered this year? Can't find out what is new on the website.

    WHAT ACCUBOND SHOULD BE NEXT?

I'm very interested in a 110g - 120g Accubond in 26 cal for deer, black bear, and hog. I would be using this in a 260 Rem but should work for 6.5x55, 6.5x06, and 6.5x284. In my 260, no need for an Accubond in 140g for deer size animals as standard bullets performs very well at 260 velocity...
