    Trade for Hornady 150 IB

My 300 wsm only likes Hornady IB and SST. I personally don't think pushing SST's 3300 fps is a good idea. I'm looking for some Hornady 150 IB's which they paused production . I'm willing to trade a lot more than the bullets are worth. I have NOSLER .308 165 BT 180 AB NOSLER .270 130 AB 130...

    Your Berger Huunting VLD results

After a long Summer of shooting I came up with the most accurate load in my 300 WSM. It is the max suggested load for the 168 VLD with H4350 which is 65.5. I will be giving them a chance this season, but I will be changing shot placement from front shoulder to the rib cage/ lung . I would...

    Shoulder dents on casings

After resizing 40 300wsm casings I noticed that each casing had a dent on the shoulder in the same place. I cleaned the die but didn't find any obstruction. I've seen this before. What causes shoulder denting?

243 NEF Handi Rifle and Berger 95 VLDs

I went to the range yesterday with my Stepsons 243 Handi Rifle. I had 4 loads with different powders and two of the loads had COAL of 2.710 , 2.750, 2.800 and 2.850. They were all loaded to shoot right under 3000fps and ALL of them performed horrible. They did shoot under 1ft at 100 yrds. My 300...

    RCBS Chargemaster 1500

I have loaded 300+ rounds with my new toy and I love it. It has been exact every time ...Awesome! That's not what I'm writing about though. Please tell me there is someone else out there that has dumped powder all over the counter because they forgot to close the drain before adding a new...

    Rising shot string.

I have one more question tonight. When I test some of my close to max loads, I shoot 3 or 4 times in a row and my shot string climbs from touching bullets to 1-2 inches high. Is 3 or 4 in a row too many. Is the heat causing this? I know better than running a half a box at a time but it just...

    Loading BERGER 155 VLD

I bought some Berger 155 VLD's for my 300WSM. I keep reading that they are supposed to be loaded to the lands but my Browning A-bolt only allows me to fit COAL at 2.870 . That puts me way off. Should I just save them for another gun or has someone had success loading them with mag restrictions?

I have been trying to get a good load for my Dads pride and joy for 3 years. He loves hunting with his M14 308 with a match barrel but we always leave the range disappointed. I would like to stick to Nosler 150 or 165 accubonds or BTs. I have H4831, IMR 4831,4350, 4064, Retumbo and R22. Does any...

    H4831 vs H4831 sc

Can I assume that H4831 can be substituted for H4831sc ? I know the physical difference but will it affect the burn or velocity? I think not but I'm not 100% sure.
