This one was from December, 2013. Shot from my .338 Win Mag while hunting black bear spot and stalk on foot in southern West Virginia. Shot was 518 yards quartering away. Long downhill shot. Bullet entered high and penetrated 29", breaking the offside shoulder and lodging under the skin...

I was unable to recover the bullet due to a passthrough. Quartering away shot from 119 yards. Handloaded to approx 2700 fps MV. 1/2 MOA from my Ruger Hawkeye All Weather.

I've used the Core-Lokt Ultra quite a bit when it first came out in my .308. How does the Speer DeepCurl compare? Haven't been able to find any tests on these two. I know the 168 grain .308" Core-Lokt Ultra was devastating on whitetails but I'm just curious I guess. Any experiences or tests...
