I like to see gun companies are starting to step outside of the box. Between the .264 Winchester and Kimber stepping up big with the 35 whelen, it's a good time to be in the market for a gun. I wonder if remington will counter with?
I do want to get into it. I think I would do okay with simple reloading but I get pretty intimidated with some of the technical stuff you guys talk about. Maybe buy some stuff with my tax returns this year.
Has anybody ever ordered ammunition from Conley precision? They have a decent selection for the whelen including the accubond, but they are a 100 fps under the Noslers. I was thinking of trying one of their 338 Federal offerings this year.

Like I said, bought it off a consignment rack. Wasn't really looking to buy it then. Just thought it was a good deal for any Winchester. Only paid $450 for it if I remember correctly. Think I'd like it better as a builder rifle if it was blued rather than in it's stainless form.
I bought this gun on consignment last year and from there it has been sitting in the original box in the closet. Pulled it out today to look at it and noticed that it was made in New Haven. Seeing as their not made there any more, is it worth hanging onto or use it for trade material or maybe...
Chuck Norris once got bitten by a rattlesnake. After 3 days of pain and agony the snake finally dies. And even after all that, Chuck Norris still ain't man enough to shoot that gun,lol
Thanks for the replies guys. The 35 Whelen is also a great caliber high on my "to buy" list but right now have not seen any guns chambered in it for sale that I like. I have always liked the 673's so figure why not get one. Been looking at this one but think the price may be a bit high. Used...
Anybody here shoot or hunt with the .350 Remmy? I have been playing around with the thought of picking one up to add to my addiction......... er I mean collection. lol
I bought the viper HD's and loved them this year. That being said, if the vipers work as well as they have for me, the razor's would have off the chart performance.
Sorry, not a reloader (Yet). Only seen factory loads for it up to 210 grain and never seen anyone mention going over 210 on there own either. Just figured maybe 210 was pushing it for the .308 case.
I could only find 225 grain .338 bullets on speers website. Would they work in the 338 Federals shorter case?
