What if Nosler has thought outside the box and shortened RUM brass to 2.5"? Magnum bolt face, case capacity usually exceeds 100gr H2O however ... but naming rights to a host of cartridges from 0.264" through to 0.458" and there's probably enough shoulder in the 0.458" to satisfy commercial...
I rarely buy more than about x100. I've paid good money before for brass that was junk and made by well known companies. That tends to make me nervous about buying large quantites, particularly in odd chamberings. Mind you, the biggest issue I ever had was with Winchester 375H&H, over 60%...
There is one glaring omission in my opinion ...
Custom Competition in 6mm and at 67-68gr weight in packs of 100, 500 and 1000.
I believe there's a significant '2nd tier' informal benchrest market that would be suited to a projectile at that weight.

I concur! The current 225gr AccuBond could be replaced as far as I'm concerned with something more streamlined at equal or slightly higher weight.
I really wish Remington had never used that stupid 1:16" twist which has handicapped the 35s for so long.

I'd just go the plain vanilla 6.5/06.
Then again ... I have a Palma contoured 22cal 1:8" stainless barrel at 27.5" length and an SPS Rem700 in 270Win plus a Boyd's Prairie Hunter stock opened for the larger contour, and we're just waiting on the 22/06 reamer to bring the components into...
Creedmore,
There's one more situation that can cause head separations and appear as a headspace issue when it's not. If your chambers base is wider than the brass being used, the brass will expand and stretch to fit the chamber, resizing it then brings it back, firing makes it stretch again and...
Rick,
I see where your coming from now. Yes, 'FL resizing' is bringing the case back to minimum dimensions, but in this case where the shoulder is being bumped say 0.002" to fit this individual chamber ... in effect the case has been 'FL resized' for this particular chamber. FL resizing dies by...
Longer then when the FL die was being screwed to the shell-holder. Nevertheless, the initial stretch has already thinned the brass so the damage is done and in waiting, that's why the poster that recommended you use 270Win brass or put a 0.264" expander through unfired 25-06 before...
Not here in Australia. In all honesty the 358Win does not require a premium pill. 225gr Partitions sail through broadside on our slightly smaller than elk sized Sambar deer with minimal expansion unless major bones are struck. The 200gr Hornady SP is a surprise package in performance and...
This projectile already exists ... its called a Woodleigh 225gr PP. I too wish Nosler would fix this oversight in its 200gr AccuBond as I have x2 358Win rifles to feed. The 200gr AB will probably get a run in my 358Norma, but to be honest I prefer more weight in that cartridge.

In Australia we call H4198 ... AR2207.
A friend and I did some playing with a locally produced monolithic prototype of 300gr weight ... me in a 458AccRel, friend in a 458Lott.
In the 458Lott ... 80gr AR2207 was pushing 2875fps ... working upto 84gr for 2925fps.
Safest bet is to always start...
So ... we'll see a 185gr 35cal AccuBond soon. I so hate those smug 338Federal types with their 180gr pills. :P 35cal is where it's at.
Thank you for chasing up the ogive issue on the 200gr AB.

The email was forwarded to me, it's not named.
The 'from' simply states : "Nosler Catalog" <Catalog@nosler.com>
Please tell me that its incorrect regarding the ogive ... I have x2 hungry 358Win rifles.

Can you confirm that the ogive on the 35cal 200gr AccuBond will not suit the 358Win? Friend of mine received that information via email last night.
So no using it in the 358Win with 2.8" COL, or 350RemMag's built on the Rem600, 660, 673 with their short 2.7" magazine boxes, or custom guns built...
Friend of mine here in Australia has just had it confirmed (via Nosler) that the ogive for the 35cal 200gr AccuBond will not suit the 358Win, though the velocity will suit the projectile to a tee.
That is a pretty poor effort in my opinion. :( Guess I'll have to wait out and check into the...
I'm just wondering whether the ogive will suit the 358Win and its overall length of 2.8". I certainly hope so as I have x2 358s to feed. Worst case scenario they'll be missiles from my 358Norma.

It's a shame the new Custom Competition 30cal offering isn't 15gr lighter. Seems an odd weight to have a 140gr Custom Comp in 30cal.
At 125gr (or even 115gr) they'd have grabbed 30BR shooters and posibly even those wanting to run super-sonic loads in their 300Whisper and 300-AACs.
The 200gr...
