.323 200 gr Accubond 325 WSM Load Data

As a follow-up here's what I ended up with: Savage model 16 in 325 WSM Nosler 200 gr Accubond Winchester brass 64.7 gr Reloder 17 CCI 250 primer OAL 2.870 (.020 off the lands) 2905 fps, ES 7, SD 4 .457" 3-shot group @ 100 yds Results were duplicated on two separate trips to the range. H4350...

    300 WSM 200 gr AB

Ditto here with the 200 gr AB and a Tikka T3. Maxed out with 62.0 gr of H4350 and 2700 fps. Best groups were 1.24 @ 100 yards. The same rifle groups 180 ABs 0.63 at 100 yards @ 2950 fps.

Go to bullet and load for 325 WSM?

My Savage 16 really likes the Nosler 200 gr Accubond over 64.7 gr of RL-17, CCI 250, Win Brass, 0.020 jump, 2.87 OAL, 2900 fps, ES 7, SD 4, 0.457 three shot groups at 100 yards. I have some 200 gr Nosler Partitions that I have not shot yet but expect they will do just as well.

8mm Remington Magnum 200 AB Loads

I can't speak to the 8mm Rem Mag but my Savage 325 WSM really likes the Nosler 200 AB with 64.7 gr of RL-17 and CCI 250. 2910 fps, ES 7, SD 4 with a .457 3-shot group at 100 yds. No fluke, as this was repeated on two different trips to the range.

    Blackhorn 209?

Load data from the Blackhorn website shows 80 Volumetric Units (VU) as the minimum and 120 VU as the maximum. But remember, VU is not the same as grains. 80 VU converts to 56 grains by weight which is probably why you reported a light recoil. As an experienced re-loader (rifle/pistol) I know...

    Blackhorn 209?

How did you decide to use 80 grains? Did you "work up" the load or just get lucky? I just picked up a can of BH209 and some Harvester 250 gr Saber Tooth bullets but can't decide if I should start at 70 gr or 75gr.

    Request for Nosler

Care to share the specifics of his load? I'm only getting 2910 with a max load of RL-17.

    Roll Crimp 40 S&W?

Unfortunately, you got a BS answer from Winchester. The SAAMI specification for .40 S&W does not call for a roll crimp. Take a look at the SAAMI drawing: http://www.saami.org/PubResources/CC_Dr ... 0SandW.pdf Everything I've ever read stated that applying a roll crimp to a bullet that has no...

    Annealing ?

I anneal every time I reload. It's probably overkill but now I don't have to keep track of how many times a case has been fired. I also figure it's the best way to make sure neck tension is consistent. It's simple, quick and inexpensive so why not?

.323 200 gr Accubond 325 WSM Load Data

I'm an experienced reloader and have worked up loads for several rifles and hand guns. But components are getting pricey so I'm wondering if anyone has successfully worked up the following load: Savage model 16 in 325 WSM Nosler 200 gr Accubond Winchester brass Reloder 17 or H4350 CCI 250...

What MV were you getting with IMR4350? I have some H4350 I'm thinking of trying.

    243 Win 95gr Partition loads?

I realize this isn't a sizzling load but my son's Savage 10 likes the 95 gr Nosler partition over 39.6 gr of RL17. COl is 2.676 which is .020 off the lands. Velocity right at 2,830 fps, ES of 6, SD of 3, with a 0.625 five shot group at 100 yards. Recoil was mild. Groups started to open back up...
