I use 160 gr AC with R-22 between 67-68gr. Norma brass, no pressure signs. My barrel is 24 inch barrel Sako85.
This rifle likes 160gr and 168 AC. I did not play too long with 150gr bullets since 160 and 168 shoot well.
Another powder VV560 loads 46 - 48 gr. with AB 140 gr. Coal 3.1 inch.
Next powder Norma MRP load 46-48 gr with Lapua brass and CCI benchrest primers.
VV560 is hotter and a bit faster. Personally I am sold on Norma MRP for 140 gr bullets. My rifle's barrel is 22 inch. Velocity 2650 FPS. You...
Best groups my load it is 168 BT with 45 gr of Varget, for some reason I can get 165 AB to shoot as good as my 168 BT,

In my Sako 85 140 AB works great 3.1 oal.
My powder choices are: Norma MRP, VV N560, RL-22 and H4831sc.
All about 46 gr to 48 gr loads.
Lapua brass, CCI2 primers
140 AB it is my deer hunting choice in Wisconsin

My Sako 85 likes 140 AB with 48 gr of H4831 sc.
For 120 BT or 125 Partitions IMR 4831 works good.
140 AB is very accurate load and works very well on deer. My COAL is 3.1 for 140 AB with Lapua brass and CC2 primers. This brass last forever.
In my case 140 AB went at 2950FPS with H1000. This is as fast I could go safely.
130 AB I could shot 3050 FPS. With 150 gr VLD I can get 2875 FPS accurate.
Rifle Sako 85, 22 inch tube. I would pick great accuracy over velocity. If you can get 24 inch barrel I would say you should gain...
My loads are with 140 AB:
Brass Lapua powders N560, Norma MRP, H4831sc or RL-22.
The best velocity comes from N560 with 48 gr. It is stiff in my rifles but no problem with pressure at all. Another is Norma MRP the same 48gr. I hunt deer with this one.
COAL is 3.10.
My both rifles are marked...
I have Sako 85 stainless hunter and Blaser R8 in 6.5x55 semi weight.
Blaser shoots well both 120 and 140 bullets as Sako 85.
Sako 85 I can take longer COAL 140 like VLD and will shoot them very well. I like deer hunt with 140 AB and 48 gr of Norma MR. Blaser does not take longer cartridges...
I use Norma brass, Federal Match 210 primers, sometimes Federal Mag 250 with RL-22 in the winter.
I have found that magnum primers will produce extra 20 FPS.
My 130 gr load use H4831 sc, most of the time. 140 AB like N560, 150 gr prefers RL22.
Velocity I get from 22 inch Sako85 : 130gr (...
168gr Berger VLD it works great with Retumbo 71-74 gr. My two loads are very accurate and FPS stable. 168 VLD Berger with 74 gr of Retumbo gives me 3025 Fps and accurate.
71 gr flies about 2850 fps but still accurate. It shoots only 1 inch lower, but to the same center.
I did not try 175 gr...
168 gr Berger in my Sako 85 with 24 inch barrel works great with Retumbo 74 gr.
I get 3025 Fps and very accurate. Retumbo is very stable velocity wise for this load.
For 160 AB RL-22 works well.
A good thing is when both loads are shot at the same velocity they have the same point of impact.

Yes, H4831 works well with 130 AB for me. My load is 60.5gr H4831. Good choice.
Rl-22, R-19 and 7828 I would use with heavier bullets. 140-150.
Rl-22 works well with 150 grain bullets. My 130 Ab likes H4831. It goes togehter like bread and butter.
