    Fur Friendly .22-250 loads?

I have been googling around on that subject for a while now. My opinion in a short answer in a .224 cal bullet 22-250 velocities even 223 go with 55g sierra gameking the soft point variety. I have spent hours talking to people and googling around and that's what I've come up with. some believe...

    223 quickload hornady 53 vmax

not sure on chamber cut other than ill never shoot anything other than 223 out of it. I had a mentor look at a spent primer and he thinks with the edges rolled out and flattend the way they are im as close to max as I want to be. im trying 50g vmax now with benchmark. I can get .75 easy at 100...

    223 quickload hornady 53 vmax

Hodgon data has a max on a 53g sierra HP at 27g varget which is why i pushed it a bit over hornady max.

    223 quickload hornady 53 vmax

The reason i started using varget is i tried benchmark with no luck i had some varget leftover from previous endeavours loaded berger 50g target at 25.2 and 25.6gr.and had a load for a discontinued bullet first time out. so i decided to try varget with the 53g vmax and the old lot grouped at...

    223 quickload hornady 53 vmax

Hi. i have a browning xbolt in 223 and trying for a load with 53 grain vmax. hornady says 26 varget is max however at 170 yards groups are around 1.5 inches all over the place till around 26.5 g of varget brings it down to around .45 of a inch at 170 yards. Id be happy with that however I'm...

223 on the way load info

Got a good deal on a xbolt in 223 couldn't refuse, so now im thinking about how to feed this thing. Browning website shows a 1-8 twist in their composite stalker so what's a good go to combo that's good for coyote, maybe deer, might be a little small however, might keep it small game only. For...

    changing brass question 22-250

Tikka t3 varmint 22-250 likes 34.2g varget 52 bergers win brass CCI br2. Im wondering now that I have some Lapua brass on the way to keep things more consistent, how I go about finding the sweet spot again. Will it be close to the old grain powder or do you veteran reloaders start from scratch...

Hi. I'm wondering what causes this usually doesn't concern me but am curious what makes a rifle do this. Was testing reloads twice last week and noticed that my groups shifted point of impact. I'm very happy with groups just curious what causes this and if you run into this as well. Tikka...

    weight sorting brass?

Don't know exactly from here but I think out of 100 pieces I sorted to nearest 1/2 grain around 50 were very close to 160. Around 15 were 160.5 and so on. Maybe I should have bought more ha ha. At least 85 percent inside 159.5-160.5 gr. thanks for the replies. This is a good forum for info that...

loading nosler BT in 22-250 with lee dies

One thing I did notice was with the ballistic tips at 33.5 was a good group initially. I chose to go with 35.5 because of velocity. Berger groups at 34g maybe I missed with the ballistic tips at 33.5g. I think I'll try that, harmonics might work at that speed or pressure. The initial group I...

loading nosler BT in 22-250 with lee dies

I was out with bergers today 50g bullets and my tikka seems to love them. based on earlier observations from a different range trip i tried again in different coals. only problem is berger discontinued them and there flat based and a pain to load unless i find a way to load them thats easier. I...
