    Getting angry with OAL

A friend of mine shoots a couple rugers. One thing you need to do is Full length resize a piece of brass and make sure that it has GOOD neck tension. Also make sure the trim to length is at or near book minimum. Both of my friends Ruger's tend "Grab" the bullet and pull it either all the way out...

    6.5 Creedmoor, Whatch think?

The thoughts and reasons for the Creedmore are more about Details than velocity. --1 The 260 Rem is slightly too long for the short actions. C.O.A.L. on the 260 mandates seating long bullets into the powder column in a standard SA. The Creedmore has similar powder capacity, but because the case...

    6.5x55 Load Suggestions Please

+1 to what Ol Joe said. RL22 does great, add in winchester LR primers and its a great match. After RL22 id probably go with one of the 4831's or 4350's. Either H series or IMR series. In my opinion the Hodgdon series is a bit better as a multi temp / weather powder over IMR. The RL22 may not be...

    6.5 cal E-Tip Status?

Hello, I noted in a thread that Nosler is considering "taking care of their Scandinavian customers", by offering a 140gr E-Tip. Well I live in California, may I inquire as to the status of this? Living in California, this next season I am going to find my self in serious need of non-lead hunting...

    375 Ruger Alaskan

+1 on 4350, on the other hand another powder to seriously consider is AA2700. Especially the 300gr loads the AA2700 shows very nice consistency and velocity. Of the mentioned primary powders 4350 is probably the least temp sensitive and therefor the most forgiving of harsh field conditions...

    300 WM Temp. Insensitive Powders

Have you looked into IMR 7828SSC? I have had some very good luck with it in 300 WM. Velocity's on it are very nice, and consistancy from about 40F to 105 F are pretty reasonable. Sorry I do not have my chrono data at hand or i would give you ES / temp / velocity ect. I am out of state for a...

    TSX

Hello, The *Dropped Like a Lightning Bolt* really depends on cal, bullet weight, and game to be taken. I have a good friend who uses a .243 to kill pigs and deer. He started using the 85gr TSX and I am here to tell you the 4 pigs i have seen him drop were dead on the spot. So it really does...

    6.5mm 125 grain Partitions

Shot a couple pigs with these out of my swede and they worked pretty good. One shot was at about 60 yards, and the other shot was closer to 85 yards. Both pigs went down and stayed down, bullets fully penetrated and exited. Good hunting

    6.5x55 sweede

Thanks for the reply Nosler3. If the .260 rem NC brass goes live I will simply build one and kinda sorta semi retire the "old swede" :) I love my 6.5 Swede but i am at a point in life where the tremendous prep time on the brass is unacceptable to me. I will pay for the best and go load them up...

    Another brass request..

Any word on the .260 rem NC brass? I would like to build my daughter a rifle and the .260 seems just about perfect for the project. Kudo's go out to Nosler on making brass for this great round! Gary

    6.5x55 sweede

Nosler, Any chance of getting some 6.5x55 sweede brass? I load 30-06, and 300 win mag using Nosler Cusgom Brass, and let me tell you NC brass is *IT* period. for those two rounds I will not buy any other brass than Nosler. Im telling you guys if you would produce some 6.5x55 sweede I would be...

    WHAT ACCUBOND SHOULD BE NEXT?

    6.5x55 swede 130gr - .264

    WHAT ACCUBOND SHOULD BE NEXT?

I nominate the 130gr / 140gr .264 / 6.5. Personally I shoot the 6.5x55 swede in a new production Ruger M77R-MkII with a 1 in 8 twist. However im sure there are enough others out there shooting 6.5 Grendel, .260 Rem, and even the old .264 WinMag to make production worth it. The Grendel would be...
