    25.06 help!

4350 is a nogo. Gonna try RL 25. If that doesn't work I'll switch bullets. Ok I feel better now. Groups went from 3" with all others to .774 with RL 25. Considering the conditions(weather), I believe I found one that will work. If I want better I'll have to have someone else shoot them :grin...

    25.06 help!

110 Accubonds are the only ones I've tried. I think I might need to play around with seating depths as well. I'm just hoping to stay with the Accubond since it works well on larger game like mule deer, not that B tips do not.

    25.06 help!

My Ruger 25.06 hates Magpro. Retumbo, and RL 19. Any suggestions? RL 25 maybe? Think it might be the firearm itself? It did well with factory loaded 100 grain Ballistic Tips but I couldnt get 110 grain Accubonds to group well at all. Any help is appreciated

    dominant eye

I'm left eye dominant. I shoot a rifle left handed and a bow right handed. When I shoot a bow I have to make sure my left eye is completely closed. I don't have to when shooting a rifle. Like was said before, you can't change it but you can work around it.

    Antelope Hunt

Long story short.. Truck was broken into in Billings, Mt. All gear was stolen. Bought a Ruger 25-06 in Sheridan, Wy. Had 1 day to sight in. 100 grn Nosler BT's in a gail force wind. Zero confidence in this setup. 1st day out, buck at 426 yards in a very stout cross wind. 1 shot and he dropped...

What is your favorite critter to hunt?

Bowhunting for bugling bulls. I'm addicted to it. The places I hunt them and the season (fall) are all just as important as the elk. Love being in the mountains in September.

    I missed!

Hey jmad, you wouldn"t happen to be hunting the Mt. Emily area would you? Just curious. I've got the fever real bad right now. Everything sounds like a bugle to me. Heavy equipment, squeaking doors, car horns. I don't think there's a pill for it. I told my wife that the only cure is to get back...

    I missed!

We had a 5 point bull come to the call tuesday morning. He was sounding off like it was September the 20th. I missed him at 40 yards. I can now look forward to hearing bugles in my sleep for the next month. Good luck to any who are chasing bugles like I am.

    Once Fired Cases

I bought new brass for my .270 wsm and sized and trimmed to book specs. I loaded and fired about 20, sized and trimmed again and loaded the cases the same. I fired 10 rounds of new brass and 10 rounds of the once fired through a crono and I noticed the once fired were about 100 fps faster. Just...

Anyone here using it and if so, how much of the "prep" is done already when it arrives? Thanks for your time.

    Accubonda at close range

I'll get back to you on this hopefully around Aug 13. Treestand set up over a waterhole for antelope. Shot should be around 20-30 yards. Not really your typical antelope hunt but thats where their at. I think I'll use my 30.06 for this one. 300 RUM is a little overkill.

    150 gain penetration test

I bought some 150 grain Accubonds at the Pro Shop last week and loaded them for my .300 RUM @ about 3500 fps. Anyway the guy at the desk told me if I was shooting this bullet in this caliber, he wouldn't recommend shooting at an antelope if it was closer than 100 yards. This made me a little...

    WHAT ACCUBOND SHOULD BE NEXT?

    How about a 30 grain 20 cal to make the .204 shooters happy.......just kidding. I vote for a 165 grain in .308

    150gr or 180gr

I drew an antelope tag this year in Oregon after 10 years of applying. I'm gonna loads some Accubonds for my .300 Rem Ultra Mag. What do you guys (or gals) think, 150s or 180s? Oh, shot distance could be from here to Texas.
