Hi Boomer,
My .264 wm is one of the easiest guns to get to group that I load. For 130 gr ABs I use
57 Gr or 4831... I know, not on your list.
Fed 215 primer
COAL is 3.223 - 3.227
shoots 1/2 inch groups outside to outside.

That rifle likes IMR 4831, so that is the only powder that I load for it for 130 gr ABs, 100 gr BTips, and 140 gr partitions.
Hardpan

My 264 Win mag has a Shilen CM 27 3/4" barrel on it and it loves this load.

66.5 grs Retumbo WW case either a 264 factory or one made by reforming a 7mm Rem mag case they shoot the same, CCI 250 primer, 130 AccuBond loaded 10 thousands off the lands which is and OAL 3.450 in my rifle. I average 3350 fps. This is one full grain under the max load from the Hodgdon web site. 67 grs gave me ejector marks and stiff bolt lift but 66.5 grs was perfect and 1/2 moa accuracy.

I killed 4 deer with this combo last season from 98 to 275 yards. All one shot in their tracks kills. I even recovered one bullet. It was from a buck shot at 111 yards facing me with a slight angle. Bullet entered it's front edge of the left shoulder smashing it and making soup of the vitals and when cutting up the meat I found the bullet in the right ham. It was a text book mushroom and the weight was 87 grs. That bullet had to still be doing around 3200 fps on impact. Great bullet.

Here is the before and after bullet.

Thanks 1shot. I will try Retumbo and see how it performs. Mine has a 26" SS Gaillard barrel. The 140 Berger shot pretty good. Just under an inch for 3 shots with H1000.

1Shot..... that's smoking. I haven't really pushed my 6.5 Ruger to hard but I'll not get much better than you with my 24" barrel. I have a load with the 130 ABs and was going to use it for meat deer this fall. Sounds like this bullet is going to preform a bit better than I hoped.

Not sure what I was thinking that day. My 6.5 has a 26" barrel. I guess just so dam excited over the performance of the 130 ABs. LOL

Jim,

The 130gr AccuBond is a real performer out of the 6.5's. My Dad has used it several times on cow elk out to just a shade over 300yds with his .260.
Good luck and let us know your results.
This is after going through shoulder -

I have an antelope hunt in a month and I'm using 120 TTSXs at 3550 ft/sec. After that I'll sight it in for the 130s. I might have to try and bump up the speed a little and see what happen to accuracy. 200 ft/sec is a lot for 10 grains of bullet difference. But one I can live with if the 1/2" groups start opening up to much.
