150 grain Accubond in 30-06

After years of shooting 165 Speer Hot-Cor bullets in my 1966 Remington 700, I've decided to change back to a 150 grain bullet. I previously shot Ballistic Tips but sometimes they seemed to pre-chew my deer when shot at close range so I'm hoping the tougher AccuBond should be a better choice. I would like to stick with H4350 but I have W760 on hand as well. Have any of you had good luck with either of these two powders using the 150 grain Accubonds?

I've had some luck with 60 grains of H4350, probably a max/near max load. I never hunted with it.

I have very accurate and consistent results with IMR4350 and 155 Custom Competitions, but it looks like you need H4350 only.

Good looking load! Trying to stay with H4350 due to temp stability I hunt in Arkansas/Oklahoma deer season temps can vary from 80's down to single digits.

I would give it a shot. I'd imagine if you can get enough in the case and it's accurate you'll still have a winner of a load. H4895 or Varget might be two other temp stable options as well if you have that available.

Best load in multiple 30-06's has been 59 grains of H4350 and seated at .075 off (1 gun had to be at .100 off) Fed 210 primers and 150 AB. Extremely accurate load.

In 22" barrel look for accuracy node at 2,950 fps.....

I used 760 in a 375 H&H, worked the load up around 75 deg and used it in a snowstorm...no problems. I suspect it would be more "heat" sensitive than cold. If you can work it up right now, I wouldn't worry about. I spent time in Oklahoma...from oven to fridge is a real possibility, sometimes hours apart! ha

Thanks for the inputs! I only have access to a 50yd range behind the house but the load with 59 grains put 5 shots in about 8/10" and averaged 2948fps. A load with 59.5 grains shot better putting 5 of 7 in 1/2" but things are getting a little warm in Rem brass and the velocity dropped to 2916fps. I also tried a 58.5 grain load at 2870fps but I need to re-shoot it since I pulled a shot that ruined the group. Looks like time to play with seating depth and see if things tighten on up.
