Can anyone help me with the low side velocity that the .355 will consistently expand. I've been handloading the fix 165 but getting many bullet failures running them hot.
I've tried .355 TSX 170gr with various explosives and found that the lowest firing rate for a bullet to open consistently was around 2,400–2,500 fps. If you run it too fast, premature detonation is more likely, so I recommend trying to lower the load slightly and monitoring the results.
