I'm looking for a load for the 8mm mag 180 gr Etip.I tried 74.5 Imr 4350,approx 2" grouping, cci 250s were used.I,m going to try H4350 also.the Etips and accus work outstanding in my 7mm mag.also where can I find a list of the primers diff,s are from one to another(fps, burning rate, etc.)

Welcome aboard to Nosler.

Sorry, no help to you for the ET's and your 8mm Rem, but I imagine some others will be along to assist soon enough. The 180 ET should be a pretty awesome bullet at 8mm Rem Mag speeds. Good luck with your load work up, throw up some pictures when you can.

Seems like the 8RM is making a little come back around here!

I have some 180 E-tips for my 8mm but have never tried them but if I was to I would try in this order RL-22, 7828 and H4831. I have had great luck with RL-22 in many calibers and is what I use with 220 Hornady and 200 TSX bullets. Good luck with the E-tips and keep us posted, welcome aboard by the way.

thanks Bill,Ijust finished a 3 shot group, just under 1" with 75gr imr 4350,used R9.5M primers. The 180gr ETip went threw 5, 5gallon plastic jugs.Approx;48"of water till it stopped.Bullet did an awsesome job.I'll try and send picks of it once I figure that part out.I'm going to talk to some local reloaders and try some of that suggested powder.I now my buddy has RL-22 for sure. After catching that bullet,I now know that my 8mm rem mag is going to be my black bear gun. Thanks again.

accurate shooting means good clean hunting.

It does sound like it performed very well, maybe you could post a picture of it in the bullet testing section I'm sure lots of people would be interested in seeing it. It will definitely take care of anything you have in Manitoba or anywhere else in Canada for that matter :)

Wow, that is some serious penetration! Not many animals anywhere are going to slow one of those down!
