It is beautiful out so I went out and shot for the first time in a while.

Today's goal was to finalize some loads.

22-250
55gr Hornady SP
39.0gr IMR4350

This load shot sub 1" groups before but I didn't know the speed. Today they had 2 in 1 out but I'm not going to worry about it.

3200 fps average and minute of coyote groups. This will be the load I use for calling yotes. I have Vmax load for plinking and practice.

.243
70gr Btip
46.0gr of IMR4350 shot the best but they all will work. I will stick with the 46.0 gr load for practice/coyote load. That load averaged 3330 fps.

7mmRM
150gr Combined Technology bullets with 63.0gr IMR4350 averaged 2888 fps and all shot under 1". This load will be for deer/antelope/practice.

Man it was good to get out!!!

That's some fine shooting. It's always nice to get out and it's only 27 more days till SPRING

Always good to be able to pull the trigger on old friends (or on new friends, as far as that goes). Looks as if you're getting back into the swing in good form.

Good shooting.
For your 243 Win 70 gr BT, try 39.0-39.5 grs IMR4895.

JD338, do you suggest that powder because I will get better groups or more speed?
Accuracy.
Back in the day when I shot a lot of 243 Win, it was the "Club Load". There were 6-8 fellas shooting this load and it was well under MOA for all of us. No idea on speed, pre chronograph days.
FWIW, the 70 gr BT turned in fantastic accuracy and was pure havoc on woodchucks and coyotes.
